On arrival the cottage was impressive, getting access was easy with parking and key collection. The cottage is beautiful inside and out. Clean, homely and comfortable. We were greeted with a bottle of fizz and a personalised card welcoming us to the cottage. Communication from the owners was brilliant, contacting me before our arrival and providing us with contact information if we needed anything while we were there (which we didnt). We rented the cottage as a staying place to complete an event in the area, unfortunately the event got cancelled so we ended up spending more time in the cottage than we originally planned, and because the cottage was so peaceful and comfortable we soon forgot about our disappointment for the event. Safe to say we will be booking again next year, to hopefully complete the event in 2026.

Beautiful location with stunning views. House was amazing with rooms with comfortable beds and lovely bathroom. Every little detail has been thought of, down to including TV, books, games and DVDs and a fridge for guest use. The breakfast was reasonably priced and extremely high quality with more than ample choice. Debbie the owner and her husband were extremely kind and welcoming, and we had a wonderful time there.

Everything is modern clean and comfortable. I have stayed here many times as I travel up to Scotland on a weekly basis in the summer for work. Perfect stay , unfortunately the price has now increased and it is out of my budget for future stays , which is a shame as a solo female traveller I felt safe at the property . Hosts are friendly and great communication. I would highly recommend anyone looking to stay in Dunfermline to book this property if in their budget.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Elaine and Charlie have created a sophisticated yet comfortable B&B, in a stunning heritage house secluded from the main street. The decor is stunning, the breakfasts are outstanding, the rooms are luxurious yet comfortable.
They also ensure you enjoy the sitting room as well, with all the creature comforts one could ever need, including tv with access to streaming channels, although the WiFi is good enough to watch on your devices.
They even made dinner reservations at The Red Lion pub: make sure you have the steak pie, it is fabulous.
As a family of four we loved our stay here. A beautifully spacious, cosy and comfy apartment, with quirky furnishings, it was lovely, just like the village of Culross. (LOVED the cobbled streets!)
It's location was perfect for us with a short drive over the bridge to the Falkirk wheel and the Kelpies. Host Julie was so nice leaving us delicious goodies and suggesting the red lion inn for supper was fantastic! Great food and welcoming staff. We shall be back 😃

We absolutely loved staying at the Dundonald Cottage and would come back in an instant if we're ever back in the vicinity again. The communication was brilliant, the property itself was exceptional, breakfast was magnificent and Culross itself was a great base for a few days in and around the central belt.
Above and beyond. Lots of lovely little touches. Very welcoming and homely. So good we had a cosy night in the communal lounge playing board games with a real fire in the fireplace.
