Beautifully decorated - the photos don’t do it justice. Excellent facilities in every room . This is a beautiful cottage full of character , enhanced by the decor and decorative items in the rooms. The hosts very thoughtfully provide eveything you need to make hot drinks and toast . Very nice friendly hosts who went out of their way to check everything was OK. There is a lovely small decked area which is very private and decorated with lights and plants which have been well maintained . You can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into this cottage .

I was texted all the instructions regarding check-in and key collection beforehand, which made my check-in stress-free. There is also a nice brochure with the nearest shops, cafes, as well as instructions on how to watch TV and connect to wi-fi.

Stunning wood work, they’ve obviously spent a lot of time and effort making each shepherd hut unique. The views are incredible, and in such a peaceful relaxing location, the only noise we heard was the sheep which was very wholesome.
The mattress was to die for, we both commented on how good the sleep was and did have a little look online at them, such a shame we’ve only just purchased a new mattress really.
If you are staying here the business is also associated with “the motorist” cafe/restaurant which is a short drive, such a fantastic place and really interesting even if cars aren’t your thing, breakfast was incredible

I can't sing the praises of this house highly enough - by far the best accommodation I have stayed in in the local area. Immaculately presented and tastefully decorated. Well-equipped kitchen. Extremely comfortable rooms. Off-street parking an additional bonus. Convenient location. Walking distance to high street and local restaurants.

The house was very cosy and warm and all the facilities were available as advertised. The host was very responsive to all my million questions and welcomed us warmly. It was just short 7 min ride to the city. Lovely little garden out back too.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Liquorice lodge was lovely and comfortable, beds were soft (not what I’m used to but comfortable all the same), everything was up to date and fresh. We travelled as two families and the kids were happy with the house too.
Lovely little terraced house with everything you need to self cater. Perfect for us as a base to see family.
I had some trouble with the booking forms / app and the host was super quick at responding.
Location was great for me. Lovely cosy hotel with friendly and pleasant staff. Meals and drinks are great value.

Donna and Sally make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. They are really lovely and kind and they run the hotel and pub to a high standard.
