Very nice owner (in fact if he wasn't that nice the score would be even lower) who cooks you fish for the dinner and very nice location with lovely views of the ocean (you can see dolphins and whales depending on the season, we saw dolphins for a few seconds)

Absolutely extraordinary experience - to live in a lighthouse! The room is huge - it is not even a room, it is a whole wing. The lighthouse is operating, you can enjoy sunsets at the top of it

We loved the ocean right in front of us, having a perfect view from the terrace as well as from our bed and bathroom. We loved going on long beach or land walks and always felt safe.
We ate at the Lodge, but also at a small restaurant in town which recently opened their doors. Service and food was good.
Oyster Bay is a small village, thus easy to get around. It has one store with basics for everyday necessities. We like quiet places with minimum shops.

This remote village is 23km from the N2 down unmade dirt track. This will put many travellers off! However we made the journey slowly and carefully in a tiny car.
The bay is spectacular, completely unspoiled and the beach stretched for miles!
There is a small village shop for simple provisions, but our hotel took care of all our needs.
The rare Oystercatchers on the beach were interesting and the sight of the dolphins jumping the waves made it worth the journey.

Everything! The apartment was large and comfortable. The two bedrooms were spacious each having its own en suite bathroom. The lounge and kitchen were open-plan leading onto a very large terrace providing fantastic views of Oyster Bay. Lindy, the host is very kind and hospitable and gave useful information about Oyster Bay and the surrounding area. There is a village shop and a nice restaurant serving good food. Would loved to have stayed longer. The beach and views are to die for.
Riekie's house is always a pleasure to visit! There is absolutely nothing one can possibly need, that is not already at your disposal. The kitchen will satisfy a chef.
The lounge and dining room are comfortably furnished.
The 3 bedrooms and it's mattresses are top quality, and ensure a refreshing sleep.
As a bonus, there is a washing machine AND dishwasher available in the kitchen.
I highly recommend the Whitehouse at Oyster Bay.
Loved the view and close proximity to the beach and the lovely fresh sea breeze. Wifi was available. Ceiling fans to beat the heat. Enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets on the deck. Remember that there’s a gravel road to Oyster Bay and it’s isolated, there’s a small shop with basics but bring everything with. But that’s what made it wonderful having an expansive beach to yourself. Be safe and ask locals where it is safe to swim.
Nice and cozy little house; they only have ~5 rooms and it's so beautiful! The view over the sea is great! And we loved Oyster Bay as a place so much. Most beautiful beach! The host is also very nice, he cooks great food (loved the breakfast!!) and the rooms are neat and tidy. You get the most beautiful sunsets and we even saw dolphins while sitting on the terrace.
If you are looking for a secluded beach holiday away from the rush, come here! Beautiful views, well furnished with all the amenities you need. Magnificent beach that is well worth the drive. Stunning house located in the best spot in Oyster Bay!
