Nothing to like as I never had the opportunity to stay here. Arrived at dead man's door with zero response from the host. Had to find accommodation elsewhere

We loved the ocean right in front of us, having a perfect view from the terrace as well as from our bed and bathroom. We loved going on long beach or land walks and always felt safe.
We ate at the Lodge, but also at a small restaurant in town which recently opened their doors. Service and food was good.
Oyster Bay is a small village, thus easy to get around. It has one store with basics for everyday necessities. We like quiet places with minimum shops.

This remote village is 23km from the N2 down unmade dirt track. This will put many travellers off! However we made the journey slowly and carefully in a tiny car.
The bay is spectacular, completely unspoiled and the beach stretched for miles!
There is a small village shop for simple provisions, but our hotel took care of all our needs.
The rare Oystercatchers on the beach were interesting and the sight of the dolphins jumping the waves made it worth the journey.

The silence we experienced when we walked on the beach was a highlight. The only down side of Oyster Bay was the lack of a shop that sells necessities and the road to get there wasn’t really that friendly.
Lindy was waiting outside for us and throughout our staff, was available to offer suggestions and address any questions we had, great tip on the short-cut through the bush to the beach - oh yes, the beach! what a beach, went for a morning walk of around 4km out and the same return, we were the only people on the beach the whole time. Oyster Bay also feels very safe and secure and any people we passed were very friendly. The Kaya has great vistas and so much potential, we will be back.
Everything! The apartment was large and comfortable. The two bedrooms were spacious each having its own en suite bathroom. The lounge and kitchen were open-plan leading onto a very large terrace providing fantastic views of Oyster Bay. Lindy, the host is very kind and hospitable and gave useful information about Oyster Bay and the surrounding area. There is a village shop and a nice restaurant serving good food. Would loved to have stayed longer. The beach and views are to die for.
We loved everything about Oyster Kaya. The village is very quiet, very special and the beach is magnificent. The walk on the first day of the Chokka Trail is breathtaking and our walk at Oyster Bay Lodge was awesome too. We enjoyed our sundowners at the only bar in town - die windmeul " with a deck overlooking the village and the sand dunes.

Beds were fantastic and this rustic beach lodge is well positioned in Oyster Bay reducing the wind effect. Stunning view friendly staff even a wonderful view from the bathroom
