The cottage was well appointed with nice furnishings and all the required amenities necessary for self catering. It is nice to see that they provided the necessary lighting for load shedding. Car parking was under a shade-net which was a boon for when the hail struck. It is very beautiful there with very friendly staff/owner. The built-in braaier was very nice and we never had any problems with no hot water.

Rhino Peak pokes you in the eye it is so close.
Numerous hiking options abound.
The rondavel is cozy. The thatch roof and the structural framing supporting it is a great study as you lay in the comfortable double bed.
The kitchen island/bar is well stocked with any and all items you need to self cater.
The shower provides an endless supply of hot satisfying water.
My wife and I have been traveling for a month in South Africa and this is the best yet.
The hosts are generous with thier time and helped us plan our hikes and even led us on an excursion into the National Park.

Location was amazing....so close to Drak gardens where we wanted to walk. Views are lovely, and cottage very cosy. Host very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay!

There are however enough activities to keep children busy. Would have appreciated some guided walking tours around the area. Overall we had a lovely restful time. Staff was always friendly.

The scenery, tranquility of this place is perfect.
The scenery, tranquility of this place is perfect. There are ample activities for the kids a short walk away at Drakensberg Gardens Hotel. Once the pool renovations are complete at Fairways, the entertainment area will be perfect. Well maintained trails for hiking from Garden Castle at the end of the road. There is no real need to leave this resort however a few good coffee stops nearby.
We stayed in a very spacious 6 sleeper unit with the best beds and linen! Main bedroom with spacious ensuite, second room with two single beds and a loft room which kids will love with two single beds. Views from your bed, lounge and patio are incredible. Firewood is charged but delivered to your unit.
Very helpful friendly staff!
Can't wait to return.

Owner not very friendly or on site, Shower in a bad condition with low pressure, no coffee and milk provided, fireplace not working and they refused to compensate in any way. Fumes went to kids rooms, this place is in desperate need of a renovation

This is a very scenic part of the country and i enjoyed my time here. I enjoyed travelling along the roads and taking photos of the scenery. The mountains are changing all the time so i enjoyed watching the weather changing by the hour.

Its an excellent location with clean big timeshares. Excellent activities and facilities for adults and kids. The road there has quite a few potholes so use a strong vehicle. An old-style hotel with a choice of restaurants. Lovely Spa facilities.

A big resort with many activities for all ages.
Overall a pleasant family trip.
Excellent service and food for the Eagles roost restaurant situated at the hotel. The buffet breakfast was delicious and hot, made to order. They allowed us to do a small set up for a family members birthday that made it extra special.
Yoh their staff the identical twins Sphe and Spha they are so hands on they like their work like the hotel belongs to them. They were so helpful. So and other ladies Thembi and others
The food is amazing, the staff are very welcoming, the hotel was neat, we got to partake in a variety of activities: playing pool, table tennis, putt putt. The views are exquisite.
The cottage was stunning with breathtaking views. Walking distance to drakensberg gardens. The fireplace was an added bonus. Quiet and tranquil with some friendly goats too.
