Vinh Long is a great city for tourists, as you experience local life easily. There are nearly no other tourists around, we only saw one other group on our 2 day trip. The city has great places to eat and is easy to discover by bike.
The Bus station can be reached via West Bank Station in Ho Chi Minh.
We were very grateful that the home stay Mekong Pottery offered organized trips and also the options to have dinner at the home stay. There was a lot of information provided on the website. The host was always present and open for answering our questions. We recommend the trips we booked via the home stay a lot! We had a great stay. The room and the outdoor bathroom are beautifully made and fit the surroundings so well. It's a little oasis for travellers.

It is a lovely place to stay for one night or two during a Mekong delta trip as there is not so much to do there. If you enjoy long walk, cycling, fishing and good food, then it is definitely worth stopping in Vinh Long on the way to Can Tho. People are really friendly and it is very relaxing there.
Yennie homestay is a real oasi. The room was very big and clean with all facilities that we needed. The details, the authentic contact with the nature, and the warm hospitality received from all family was the best part of the stay. The food and the breakfast cooked for us by Yennie’s mom was delicious! And Yennie… she is really the best host ever. She was there every time we needed something, and her kindness and dedication is unparalleled. Thank you again Yennie 🙏🏻
This place is Eden: you reach the beautiful bungalows via bridges, leading over small canals that sourround them; everywhere are plants and flowers and you are invited to try and eat all the different and exotic fruits hanging from the trees. The pool is clean and nice and the hotel offers bikes and kayaks for free so that you can explore this beautiful Mekong-island by yourself.
The family is very nice and helpful and the food is very good.
Very friendly and Ouan was extremely helpful and pleasant. Together with her mother they made delicious meals. no need to go anywhere else. we also enjoyed a boat trip which was very good value. Ngoc Homestay had a lovely feel to it and we would recommend, especially for backpackers wanting to chill and expire the Mekong.
As always, friendly staff. Maintains cleanliness and quiet very well, rooms have many worthwhile upgrades.
The car parking lot is very large and safe. The small swimming pool on the roof is very useful for the summer heat.
There are many delicious restaurants around that can be walked from the hotel.
Nice homestay. The owners are very accomodating and will ensure you have a pleasant stay. A great experience and I would recommend to anyone wishing to relax in the Mekong delta.
