I booked a room here for my uncle at the last minute. Initially, my uncle only planned to stay there for one night because we had booked another homestay before. But because the service here is good, the location is convenient and the hosts are very friendly, I stayed here for the next 2 days. They contacted me and gave me their phone number and address. They wanted to make sure my uncle could reach them, because he would be there at 2:00 am. They were enthusiastic and interested in my uncle. They introduced my uncle to a great tour guide, my uncle had a perfect time in Ninh Binh. Their meals are delicious. everything is great, let's give you a chance to experience their service. Highly recommend.

Amazing place to stay in Tam Coc. This family run hotel is exceptional from the hospitality to the amazing breakfast. You get a lovely welcome drink and snack on arrival and we even got a lift to the bus stop on the morning we left after getting up for us at 5:45 for a early breakfast.!! (Amazing) the rooms are very clean and spacious and lovely pool overlooking the rice fields.. 100% recommend and will go back again.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay in The Nan House. The property is owned and run by an absolutely gentleman Tuan and his family. Tuan is a very cool guy. Very good English (which is helpful for having good conversations about what to do and general tips). I even stayed up to watch the Euro Football Final at 2pm with Tuan! We had a great time.
The property if perfectly located. It is a couple of minute walk from Tam Coc town. The pool is good but our favorite feature is the Lotus leaves on the pond out the back and the little covered seating area. My wife and I loved read out books out there.
All in all, we had a great stay and I would highly recommend anyone visiting this area to stay here.

As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh Binh, less than a mile from the train station. It is probably the friendliest place I've ever been - I think I was "helloed" by just about everyone under 10 I saw. But the highlights are really in the surrounding countryside, so I would recommend planning for a few days out to see the nature reserves and participate in the activities. You don't need to travel far, and can get Grab taxis or bikes if you don't have your own transport.
