Welcomed with the offer of a free upgrade and got a big, airy room with a balcony.
Walking distance to Hai An centre, around 400 metres to the old town so had the benefit of a quiet, peaceful location away from the touristy areas.
Rooftop pool was great and the hotel staff are exceptional, learning first names of all the guests and interacting with you whenever you pass through reception or at breakfast time. Appreciation also to Danny on the breakfast Egg Station for his juggling skills with omelettes! Thanks to Anh and her team who made our stay in Hoi An memorable.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We arranged Laundry services through them - we gave our laundry at around 4pm and received it back by 8:30am the next day. Brilliant! I also liked the location as you are about 15 minute walk from the river and old market.

Not only were the rooms super cute, but they were well equipped with the essentials and facilities needed. The staff were exceptional (especially Helen), going out their way to let us know of the activities, tourist attractions, restaurant recommendations, and even tips when visiting in Hoi An and Da Nang. They were always ready to answer questions and organise transportation and tickets for us. The hotel was in such a convenient location, too. We really had a great stay here!

Beautiful City
There is a lot to do, so prioritise what you like and don't fall prey to Instagram hype.
Alsahar Villa was an amazing stay.
The Lantern Boat ride was stunning, there are a lot of places to eat around that.
Avoid shopping in that area though, it's costly.
do take a 2-wheeler and drive down to Danang. It was fun.

We stayed in Hoi An for three nights which was exactly the right amount of time, perhaps even slightly too long. Though it is beautiful, we found it a bit too touristy. The same shops offer the same kinds of merchandise and it feels really focused on selling, selling, selling, rather than having any kind of authentic, interesting experience. It is still worth seeing for the lovely river views and to have a chance to experience the world-class tailoring!

So much history!!
Need at least 4 to 5 days here to experience it all.

It's a nice place.
It's a nice place. People usually do not highlight Vinwonders Theme Park, but it's a great place for kids, mainly for the river safari, Giraffe, and bird feeding. Take the buggy option at Vinwonders, as it is a long walk; buy tickets from the official counters. Add a day or two extra to relax and do nothing but stroll the cute restaurants, cafes, beaches and markets. Do not miss the Memories show (closed on Tuesdays; try sitting in the theatre in the English section and the top row of the front zone). Try to be in Hoi An at the time of the full moon; the entire place is more magical.

Hoi An is a small city that has a great ambience, especially at night in the old town where hundreds of lanterns light up boats, cafes, shops and surrounds. Food is varied and tasty with many cafes and restaurants throughout the city and old town. It is easy to hire and ride by cycles around and beyond the city as traffic is usually not too busy. A visit to the Coconut village and a trip on the river in a round boat is a must. Hoi Ans old buildings, especially the French- styled, are impressive. Shopping is also worthwhile as you can have lanterns, shoes and clothing made to order and completed very quickly! Hoi An is a great place to visit!

We absolutely loved staying in Hoi An and wished we could have stayed longer. As someone who is working in Hanoi for several months, it was so nice to get out of the city. Hoi An is truly enchanting! We did a family-run tour with Mr. Cu, which was phenomenal. We also enjoyed making our own lanterns in a class. So many good food options and lots of fun shopping to be had. Definitely add Hoi An to your Vietnam itinerary!

Very nice place, we came to this villa with arranged transport from danang hotel at very cheap prices for a huge group. The lady helped us book our tour and transport with Nong Thon Travel to enjoy coconut forest boat ride at reasonable prices and transport to Hoi An old town.
The lady also helped us to book our lunch from the nearest and popular banh my restaurant.
She also prepared our breakfast - bun Cha with coffee.
Love the pool - the common area is so spacious and friendly for family to hang out all night.
This was the best accommodation I have stayed in during my Vietnam travels. Dao, the owner is an amazing person who is taking care not only about the cleanliness of the rooms and the whole homestay but she is also very friendly, helpful and beautiful person. At the end, I have extended my stay as I was simply feeling so good there and the location is just perfect. It is located close to the river and beach and you can very easily and cheaply get to the old town by Grab or bike which you can rent at the hostel.
We stayed at the hotel a little bit less than a week. We are traveling as a family of 5 including 2 young children.(2 and 4).
We had a great time. The location is ideally placed between the old town and the beach. The room is fine, breakfast is great and overall this is amazing value.
Special mention to the staff with whom the kids and my non English speaking father connected alot. They really took great care of us.
10/10 would do again
We wanted to stay in a nice and comfortable hotel after 2 weeks of travelling in Vietnam and hoi an rustic villa was perfect! It's a very peaceful place with good location between old town and the beach. You can use for free the bikes, the breakfast is good and the family running the place very kind. Would recommend very much this hotel.
It’s a charming boutique hotel with staff striving to provide best customer service, from front desk, restaurant to the spa. It’s shuttle bus takes us to the Old Town and An Bang Beach easily so we had a most fun filled and comfortable time inside and out of the hotel.
