There are a few things that made this stay exceptional:
1. Breakfast was great! The food was actually to the same level that we would have gotten out of the hotel but in the comfort of the hotel space. You are also able to order a la carte and that was included.
2. The afternoon tea was a great touch to the experience. They had traditional musicians perform while offering tea, coffee, matcha along with a wide variety of food (fruit, waffles made fresh etc. )
3. Extended our check out by an hour to allow us to pack and shower prior to our late afternoon flight. There was no demand on our room and they were able to offer this to us which was very kind and flexible of them.
The room was very clean, had a great window with a view of sunset in the evening and the location was great within walking distance of major sights and markets. The staff were friendly and welcoming during the entire stay and we would stay here again.
Thank you for having us!

Asian Tradition, French Flair and Growing Modernity
Offering a trip through delicious Vietnamese aromas, small silk shops and ancient pagodas, the streets of Ho Chi Minh City dazzle tourists with their vibrant atmosphere. Its rich culture includes beautiful French colonial palaces mixed with modern skyscrapers that show the power of Vietnam’s economic capital.
Whether you decide to visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, or the Municipal Theatre, you’ll see the care shown by Saigonese people in preserving their historic legacy. On the other hand, the Haussmann-style boulevards are typically packed with small motorcycles that make every street crossing a whole new experience.
Contemporary Saigon can be seen in places like the Bitexco Financial Tower, located directly at central Ham Nghi Blvrd. Meanwhile, Saigon Centre or Zen Plaza are some of its modern shopping malls.
For a look into Vietnam’s recent history, don’t miss the Reunification Palace or the War Remnants Museum. A sunset visit to the 23rd September Park is the best way to mingle with the locals.
Indulge yourself in one of the 5-star Ho Chi Minh hotels, or stay in budget accommodation at Pham Ngu Lao Street. Don’t miss the Ho Chi Minh City accommodation deals on Booking.com before arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport!
Ho Chi Minh City is definitely worth going to. The War Remnants Museum is tough, but a must see and the Reunification Palace for it's amazing interiors as well. I enjoyed the Fine Art Museum and the chaos of crossing the street on foot.. ha ha. I would have liked to have gone to the Mekong Delta which is an easy trip from HCMC so next time I will only spend 5 days in the City and make that part of my trip. 7 days was a bit too long for me, but I still loved being in HCMC.

Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam is a bustling place with very crowded people and a large number of motorcycles and cars, resulting in hazy air. However, those who enjoy the hustle and bustle should like it. Overall, the weather is relatively hot and the air is polluted, but most locals are still quite friendly. There is a wide variety of food choices and the prices are also reasonable. In general, if you like excitement and liveliness, Ho Chi Minh City is definitely worth a visit.

Phang Rang city was great, everything much cheaper than Saigon, 150,000 dong for teeth cleaning, 100k dong for each filling, 15k dong for bang mi, 40k for a bowl of pho. it was too windy for the beach, enjoy riding motorbike around the city and eating street food.

This was my 19th visit to HCMC, and I still love it. I was only there for 2 days this time and found that apart from the Metro and a few more high rise buildings, it hadn't changed a lot. Still a vibrant, colourful place to visit.

I love visiting Ho Chi Minh City!
I love visiting Ho Chi Minh City! The history, tourists sights, food, coffee, massages, night life are what makes it a great city but it is the people of Vietnam that make the trip worth it. I would recommend everyone to visit Vietnam in their lifetime if they have the chance.

Gia Huy is a no-frills hotel that is value for money and in a strategic location for those who are looking to stay in District 1 and be near Ben Thanh Market. It is definitely a plus point for Muslim travellers who are looking for the convenience of halal food as the hotel is located in Malaysia Street. It's comfortable enough for a short stay as it is pretty clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful, which was a plus point. We had an issue with wifi in one of our rooms and it was dealt with quickly.
For the price versus the 5 star hotels we’ve been staying at this is MUCH better value. We were paying 200-300 cad a night for small rooms or suites. This is much more space, great location walking distance in district 1 to all the touristy areas. Would book again more if it wasn’t already booked up.
Clean, spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Delicious breakfast with plenty of options.
Super friendly and attentive staff. It’s run by a lovely family. The hotel is located in the district 3, close to district 1, the city center, but without all the fuss.
Super helpful stuff, good recommendations where to go and what to do, easy and cheap organization of taxi, bus and hostel pick up. Location of the hostel is in District 1, so perfect for a stay in Ho Chi Minh City
For anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City, this hotel offers a prime location in District 1. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. Rooms and amenities are well-maintained, making it great value for the price.
