The owner, Mr Vu, is wonderful. When my bus was not stopping in Cai Be, he organized the way back and picked me up with his motorbike the last 5 km at 10 p.m.
The rooms are very large, climatizised, the bed comfortable, the bathroom really fine and clean. It's at least 3*+.
At the other side it's like a homestay. And Mr Vu nd his family help where they can.
So it doesn't wonder, that there are a lot of guests who come here every year. I also will come back.
Providing free bicycle rentals, Mekong Lodge is a charming nature getaway surrounded by gardens and the Tien River. Free 2-way transfers from Cai Be Tourist Pier are included.

A very peaceful location away from the town. There is not a lot to do there. But on the other hand if you want peace and tranquillity then it's for you.
Set amongst lush tropical fruit gardens, Mekong Riverside Boutique Resort & Spa offers free Wi-Fi and an outdoor swimming pool. The property is 1.5 km from the Cai Be Floating Market.

The resort is nice beautiful location, but what turned me off and made me upset that , my wife and I wanted to book a massage , and when we tried at night the manager recommended we do book in the am before breakfast due to heavy mosquitoes at night, so I said ok sure but we check out at 1pm, he responded “ no worries just book before breakfast well take care of you” so I did exactly that and to my surprise day did not have any staff for us available. They kept saying that that time is booked and I kept responding to the reception. Why would your manager tell me to book before breakfast knowing that there is no staff available so that is what turned me off from the resort I doubt that we will return to this place and we will tell our friends about our experience if they should ask. Lastly in room service was lacking. We ordered a big meal fried fish and it took them five trips to the room back-and-forth to deliver stuff like utensils deliver stuff like little plates and straws they kept forgetting.

I loved the whole place - so full of fascinating plants and swaying palm trees and right on the river too - where colourful boats pass that are lovely to watch. It had a beautiful pool and lots of little statues of all sorts of things. And hammocks hanging everywhere. It made for this beautiful little wonderland to totally relax in. Also, there was lovely home-cooked local food as well. The staff were all super kind and looked after you. And one lady kindly offered to take me on a tour of Can Tho where I was headed and that was a highlight! I would say to people to let the property organise the taxi's as there is no Grab. The other thing was that i did quite alot of work whilst there on my computer. There is this beautiful terrace to sit that overlooks the river and it's a delight. It was quite the working holiday.
Cool town on Mekong river with peaceful views and friendly...
Cool town on Mekong river with peaceful views and friendly people. There are so many activities to do like visiting fruit plantation, sitting on boat along a narrow channel with 2 green along the way. I like the most seeing sunrise at Bo Song Quan coffee and Huong Quan food is great!!

Not a huge amount to do in this area.
Not a huge amount to do in this area. It’s a great getaway to relax and unwind in a resort.
To get there from HCM I would use a bus company to the tourist port.
You can cycle around but there isn’t a huge amount to see.
Not lots of choice of places to eat outside the hotel.
Lots of rubbish sadly, would be great to see some conservation projects or community clearing projects to help with this.

Superb location overlooking the river. This is a second generation family run hotel where you experience authentic Vietnam
Airport or bus pick up and drop off are included, free cooking lessons and free bicycles, a delicious breakfast and dinner. The owner, Vu, can organize tours off the tourist track and tailor made to your interests. The whole family are genuinely welcoming and proud to show you the town they have always lived in and the country they love.
This was the best accommodation we’ve had, hands down. The food was EXCEPTIONAL, the garden beautiful & peaceful and our hosts were warm and welcoming.
Our river tour with Nhi was an absolute highlight - we saw and experienced so much.
Yes it’s rustic and doesn’t have all of the comforts of a city hotel, but that’s the point!
It was the only time we felt that we truly got away from the tourist traps and experienced the real Vietnam.
A very clean and spacious house, with a comfortable outside area in a very nice , leafy part of Cai Be, we did very nice walks through narrow paths off the main street, tiny canals in people’s gardens, an unexpected school in the middle of maize of small paths, one feels that the jungle starts just behind this part of the city. There is also a very neat restaurant with AC room next door.
The location is very special, with large gardens and grounds right on the river you couldn’t ask for a more ideal setting. The pool area is lovely and the staff were very helpful. The hotel manager Duy personally took care of us - he helped book our bus to the next destination, expertly administered first aid when we needed it, and gave us some interesting facts about the Mekong.
Staff was very attentive and friendly. We much enjoyed the dinner and breakfast at the riverside. The pool invites for a nice swim or a nice relaxing afternoon. We also used their free bicycles to explore Cai Be. I would also recommend their massages. Overall a very pleasant stay!
