I had stayed there a couple of different times and there was no problem. And the last time I went i want and booked a room. when I got there. I was turned away and told I was on a no rent list and I wasn't really given a reason why I can't imagine so it was a big hassle and I'm not happy with what happened and I would never stay there again

It was in close proximity to the boardwalk and there were several places to grab a meal/ snack/ treat. The breakfast buffet was great! Staff was very friendly and when the front desk was called to bring towels to our room it was a fast response time- it was much appreciated.

Buena atención el personal en recepción muy amable
Santa Cruz was surf central California long before the Beach Boys sang about it. The Surfing Museum in the Mark Abbott Memorial Lighthouse tells stories of those who have braved some of the world’s best waves.
Overlooking the ocean rollers are the Coconut Grove Ballroom and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk - the oldest amusement park in the state of CA, and the last original one on the West Coast. Its historic carousel, rollercoasters and rides are a colourful backdrop to Cowell’s Beach, best viewed from the Sky Glider cable cars.
Jutting into Monterey Bay is the wharf where sea lions bask and pelicans decide on their next meal. Seafood restaurants are abundant here and the bars provide lively nightlife. Pacific Avenue is the main shopping area and one street away is the Museum of Art & History.
Unsurprisingly for a surfer hotspot, the city has a liberal outlook and is known for political activism - a far cry from the era when the Santa Cruz Mission was established. The mission is now a state park alongside Natural Bridges Beach and the Big Basin Redwoods in forested hills behind the city, home to the gravity-defying Mystery Spot.
Booking.com’s Santa Cruz accommodation includes pet-friendly motels, hotels with hot tubs and cheap inns near UCSC.

It was a refreshing visit to the seaside.
It was a refreshing visit to the seaside. The Boardwalk was fun. We went outside of the Boardwalk for food, not being a big fan of fast food. A guide to restaurants would have been helpful, but we found a few places with an internet search. We enjoyed very good pizza and salad at Kianti's and a wonderful breakfast at homey Zachary's.

The staff at the hotel treated us wonderfully.
The staff at the hotel treated us wonderfully. Check in & check out went so easy. We had a problem with our TV & it was fixed within 10 minutes! Having deck chairs to relax on anytime of the day was a big plus. It would have been nice to have a private deck because one morning a patron walked up & down in front of our room on a business call at 8:15am. I didn't need to hear about his dinner the night before or his hangover.

Love the beaches, The Beach Boardwalk (great place for restless teens), and the Point Lobos State Park. The coastal trail is well maintained and old folk friendly. There is easy access to redwood just north of Santa Cruz without the crowds drawn by better known locations. We enjoyed every minute of our time and satisfied the needs of a varied ages and abilities.

My kids loved the boardwalk but there is so much more to Santa Cruz than just the Boardwalk.
The weather is brilliant. I feel it has it all with plenty of action on the Boardwalk to entertain the kids but I feel you can easily avoid the hustle and bustle of the Boardwalk and have a relaxing & romantic time away with a special loved one.

Clean, comfortable place to stay in Santa Cruz. The staff was very helpful and provided a parking tag for the day. I only stayed 2 nights so didn't take part in any of the social activities.
