I traveled alone and had the King suite, and it was huge! Nice tall ceilings, the bed was very comfortable with so many pillows. The bathroom had a big walk-in shower (with shampoo, conditioner and body wash). The location was fantastic! I was able to walk to everything I wanted to see (with the furtest being 30 min away) it was amazing, you're in the middle of everything. The room was very quiet, it's nice that you can grab some (sparkling) water on your floor, the lounge downstairs is super quiet, nice if you want to read something. The staff was friendly!

The room was very small. The bathroom was not clean and loads of cracked tiles in and around the shower. Funky smell in the room.

Very spacious top floor apartment. Comfortable beds.
Easy to walk into the town. We just stayed one night as we were continuing our hour to Maine.
We were able to park our car next to house but a 24 hour parking garage is not far if that space is not available and if there is no room on street.
The area seemed perfectly safe to walk around. It’s a proper neighbourhood with families on their porches enjoying the warm summer evening.
Alex gave us detailed instructions for check in.

Spent 3 days at Halloween in Salem. It was a wonderful trip.
Spent 3 days at Halloween in Salem. It was a wonderful trip. Plenty of time to see all the sites we wanted. No issues finding parking. 1692 Historical Tour was amazing, packed full of history. Broom making at The Witchery was so much fun. Everything within walking distance downtown.
Heads up, most food establishments don't sell name brand sodas, it's all locally crafted sodas (no mountain dew to be found). But the food was unbelievable!!

Salem was wonderful!!
Salem was wonderful!! Planning to return and visit the other places I didn’t see.
Highly recommend to go anytime before October. Was told my locals is crazy and mobs of people come and visit. Harder to get into places, shops and restaurants with long lines.
Solo trip was nice - Easy to walk to local spots, trolley is a must to familiar yourself with the town. Don’t miss the Ouija Museum!

The Witch House is the only surviving building that has connections with the witch trials, so a must see.
Definitely do a guided walking tour, the evening one is more atmospheric.
Reds Sandwich shop is great value for money and delicious. Cemeteries have a lot of interest.
We took home edible souvenirs from Ye Olde Pepper Companies, America’s oldest candy maker.

the 2nd week of September was a great time to visit Salem, it didn't seem to busy and we had phenomenal weather. We took the trolley ride, which was a great way to learn some of the history of Salem and get acclimated to the roads and places to visit on foot. We stayed in town and walked through most of the districts. It was great to learn more about the witch trials, and we found the rest of the history of the area- the impact of it being a key port for shipping, it's role in the American Revolution, the house of the 7 gables, and Parker Brothers games.

Salem has changed since we first started going there.
Salem has changed since we first started going there. City doesn’t see as clean as in the past and first time we have seen homeless sleeping on the sidewalks. The nicest thing about Salem is that it is still a walkable city. What we want to see are close to each other.

Historic city.
++ Peabody Museum is a must see
++ Local Northshore coast is gorgeous
--- non local parking on the Northshore is mission impossible
- The historic city center is a bit patchy - some old, good looking properties combined to a few ugly modern buildings

Daniels house was amazing, rich in history, and it was beautiful inside and out. If I return to Salem, I would definitely go back to and you need longer than 1 night.
The house was exceptionally clean and smelt so good interiors tastefully decorated.
The owners were also lovely people and very keen to keep the historical factor of the house.
It was a lovely modern stay for our trip to Salem. I imagine once you could sit outside (we had rain) it would be lovely around the fire pit. It was handy for us to park the car as well.
