The hotel was nice with very friendly staff. It was in a perfect location. 4 or 5 blocks in one direction and you're on Bourbon Street. 4 blocks the other direction and you're at the casino.

The staff was very helpful, the free HOT breakfast was amazing, and the location was great. The rooms were very clean and they even let us check in early (7 am) when our flight was changed. I left my umbrella in the Uber and they gave me one to use since it was raining all day as well. The valets opened the door every time and were so polite. It was just a great stay with an exceptional staff!

The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were there during Hurricane Francine but the staff was in constant communications and provided flashlights and food service when rest of city was locked down. We were able to watch tv news as they had generator and we were able to track the storm and stayed safely indoors.

New Orleans is probably great if you are in your 20s but there is not much to do for younger children, especially teenagers. I went with my 18 year old daughter. Due to bars, clubs and jazz venues having a minimum entry age of 21, we couldn't see any jazz and couldn't go into any venues.
Bourbon Street is unsafe on Friday and Saturday nights (not sure about other days as we were only there for the weekend) with many drunk people. We witnessed one fight while we were there and one aggressive man punching rubbish bins and walls.
Outside of the Bourbon St area, the French Market is ok but each stall sells the same trashy t-shirts or cheap souvenirs. The night art market was better but only marginally.
We found a few nice restaurants that I would recommend including Jacques-Imos cafe which was our favourite.
Not a great place to take a family - there is not enough to do.

Nice city, the "French" Quarter is really worth seeing.
Nice city, the "French" Quarter is really worth seeing. One thing to know is that it actuakky has nothing of "French" but rather "Spanish", as all the architecture is spanish. Beautiful nonetheless. I recommend a Mississippi boat cruise, either a day cruise or a jazz night cruise (or both, as I did).

We stayed for three nights which was just right we did the Mississippi River trip and bourbon street bars and restaurants, we stuck to the French Quarter which was very lively. Our hotel the holiday inn French Quarter was excellent. This was part of a music road-trip I would highly recommend. We also visited Memphis and my favorite place Nashville.

I found that staying in New Orleans French Quarter requires a lot of walking, which I was unable to do. Just to get to a modern area where we could find a Walgreens was 16 blocks away, which required a taxi to take us back to the hotel. We had hoped to visit the World II Memorial, but too much walking was required.

I love New Orleans. My favorite part is always the food.
I love New Orleans. My favorite part is always the food. This time around I made sure to try out some new restaurants. The food at each place was great. In New Orleans everything is walkable and culture is all around you. Ubers were also readily available depending on your personal budget. I will say that food was a bit more expensive compared to during my recent visit.
Overall, our stay was ok. The New Orleans Marriott is quite perfectly located in NOLA, so we opted for this hotel.
The price for our stay was rather high (>300$pPpN), but we were willing to pay it. Our room was big, clean, and overall good. Our room was facing the other tower, so we mainly looked at the other building, but were also able to see a bit of the French Quarter.
The Best Western Plus French Quarter Coyrttard hotel was ideally placed within walking distance of the French quarter, including 3 blocks from Bourbon street.. Also the bus & tram services went passed the front entrance.
The staff were very helpful with showing what was available & Booking excursions.
The courtyard & pool area was a lovely area to relax & chill.
