We visited Milwaukee for 3 nights..I wish we had another 2 nights..the people were beautiful, when they heard our accents (we are from Australia)they were very inquisitive and kind ..we got to indulge in deep fried pickles and curds ,bar dice and a shot of something mint flavoured..I would love to come back

A lot of littering.
A lot of littering. I saw two guys walking on a bridge and one of them threw a cup over it. And while at a stop light the car in front of me actually opened drivers door and threw out a large white styrofoam dinner box in the street.
Very dirty area oh and i witnessed a drug deal on the street corner.
Not to thrilled with the area - sorry

A wonderful city...especially the 3rd Ward and the Bayview neighborhood. Delightful restaurants, shops, etc. The riverfront is lovely as is the lakefront. The Milwaukee Museum of Art is a must. One of the most iconic art museums around!

Milwaukee is just beautiful...or at least the bit I saw.
Milwaukee is just beautiful...or at least the bit I saw. I didn't feel overwhelmed with the traffic as in some larger cities. I took a riverboat cruise down the river to the lake with an excellent speaker, narrating the history of city and I loved it. The scenery was lovely and the waterway had an almost european feel to it even if fairly modern. The downtown was vibrant with crowds at the market, outdoor restaurants and bars. There was alot of laughter and friendliness! The river walk is a dream. I really fell in love with the city.

We love to go to Milwaukee because they embrace their history of brewing. We love the interesting looking buildings along Water Street, and The Public Market. We ate at Mader's Restaurant which never disappoints with their beer selection and German food. We also went to The Best Place at Pabst Brewery which is an absolute gem! Good coffee shop, great gift shop (cool staff), and $4 pints of PBR and Schlitz! Pilot Project Brewing is cool, too. Deer District area is very cool, especially the party atmosphere at HofBrau!

We loved the convenience of having a covered link to other parts of this area, especially during inclement weather conditions. The bus shuttles to and from Brewers games are a huge bonus! We felt very safe walking back to our hotel after going out at night.

This hotel still has the charm of the 1920s. The Junior Suite is very spacious and in many ways feels like it has been exactly the same for 100 years: large bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with dining area, small office and equally small bathroom. Lights could be dimmed and despite the old charm, the wifi worked fine. TV probably too, I didn't use it.
Beautiful hotel near downtown. Glen, the gentleman who checked us in, was warm and friendly and went out of his way to explain everything - thanks, Glen! Hot tub was nice, as was free snacks late afternoon / early evening, though drinks were not up to standard - preferred to pay for better drinks the second evening. Bed was very comfy!.
The downtown location was perfect for us, walking distance to the river, the train and restaurants and shops. The room was a good size and bed comfortable and room clean.
