The bed was extremely comfortable; one of the best nights of sleep in a hotel. The lighting and space to work on my laptop and participate in Zoom meetings was very good.

This place is disgusting! It is totally filthy. The lobby is dark and dingy. The smell of bug repellent was being dispersed by a floor fan when we checked in. The elevator was filthy. There was no breakfast as advertised, but based on the lack of cleanliness, I don't think we would have eaten there anyway. Our room was not made up our 2nd day there. When I called the front desk they told me they were not doing any cleaning because of covid and I " signed a statement" when I checked in saying that was ok. If I signed a statement, no one mentioned the lack of cleaning. I did not mind so much not having clean sheets ( we had only slept on them one night) but I had to complain to even get clean towels and then one of the towels had a huge hole in it. I know this is a "budget" hotel, but I expected more because it is a Wyndham property. This is truly a very dirty, uncared for place to stay.

I am very familiar with Meriden because I lived in Waterbury for 30 years. Moved to New Hampshire in Sept. 2019 and came back to visit son and celebrate our birthdays. Saw some old friends and visited recently departed husband's grave, but I did leave one day early because of canceled plans.
Didn't do much around Meriden but it was close to where I was visiting friends.

The size of the room was very convenient. The breakfast was also very good, with different options, at least much better than other hotels of the same category. Soap, shampoo and conditioner Dove is provided. Parking available.
We liked that breakfast was included which made the hotel decent value for money overall. The lady in the breakfast room on weekdays was superb. She greeted all customers and kept everything topped up and very clean.
The location was perfect. Close to East Main Street in Meridan. All the fast food and gas stations were close by. Highways were right there too if you needed to go to Middletown, Hartford, Wallingford, etc.
