The staff was fabulous from the moment we walked in the door. Check in was smooth and the gentleman who checked us in was kind and suggested places to eat and visit. Hotel location is close to the 3rd st promenade with many options for shopping and dinning. Also a very short walk to the beach. Valet was fast and efficient. Never had to wait for our vehicle. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. I have nothing bad to say. Will definitely be back again.

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

Well the place was wonderful and I really didn't think it was going to be that so for a hostel which I've never stayed in, it was okay and sharing a shower with the rest of the hotel wasn't as bad as I thought it was. There's actually more showers that was one shower for every guy in the hotel. No, it's one shower on every floor. There's a couple floors and it's on each end on each Wing. So I thought it was going to be 3 hours waiting for a shower like in high school but wasn't that way. That was fine. + Looking treated me wonderful and the hotel as well. No complaints

How do you review LA? Really?
How do you review LA? Really? One of the best and most fun destinations in the world? Check. We live in CA and used to live close by so we just visited for a quick NYE trip to Universal Studios and to catch a hockey game. Nothing not to like. It's like you imagine it if you have not yet been there (if you're out of state, driving can be challenging. Traffic-aggressive drivers- 5-lane freeways etc etc)

I love LA for its stunning scenes, sunsets, and amazing weather. However, I didn’t feel very safe due to the increasing number of homeless people. It’s also an expensive city—even for someone living in NYC like me!

What’s not to like?
What’s not to like? I’ve family in LA; time if travel was ideal: Christmas; temps in low 70s; fabulous dinner at Here’s to You; great Thai place on La Brea (meedeethaila.com); prepared best ever Christmas Eve dinner w/cousins; excellent hike in Griffith Park -except for Observatory, trails not too crowded. -view of LA basin obscured by Malibu fires’ smoke. Santa Monica (incl beach, pier) not recommended on day after Christmas.

The property is an older wooden house where the floorboards creak as you walk upstairs and you're not allowed to bring food or drinks upstairs so if you want a drink or whatever you need to go downstairs. Otherwise the stay was super peaceful even being so close to Hollywood Blvd. The free street parking is also a bonus.

The city has changed a lot over the past 20 years since my last visit all for the better. I must admit I was worried about the situation with the homeless but I was pleasantly surprised that I hardly saw any. Where did they go ? Whatever happened such an improvement.

Fantastic location, a ten minute maximum walk from Hollywood Blvd and the closest Metro station. The room itself is what I would call “budget chic”. You’d have no idea it was a cheaper option if you didn’t look closely. It had the feel of an expensive hotel, without the price tag and without the “hoity toity” if you know what I mean. The young lady at the reception desk was so wonderful as well.
it was in such a safe area and walkable to lots of super nice bars and restaurants! if you want to head into the Hollywood walk of fame, it’s just a short cab ride away. get the LYFT app and it’ll be super cheap. the room was really beautiful and comfortable. all the staff were lovely. really great stay! so great we ended up coming back half way through our trip for a quick stop off in LA.
A great hotel with a great room. Staff were friendly and helpful in every way and we enjoyed our stay. The location is close to the LAX airport but far from Downtown Los Angeles. We used a rented car to get around. There is a McDonald’s just across the street and plenty of shops nearby. We would definitely stay again.
The breakfast was ok, the eating area was nice. Parking was convenient, a parkade is right behind the hotel. It was cheaper to pay for the spot through the parkade than what it says through the hotel.
