We were able to check in even though we were a bit early. The room was decently sized and had a nice amount of lighting. The room came with free breakfast which changed daily. The place is also fairly close to a bus stop which goes to Williamsburg,

The room was nice and clean. We were worried about the area at first, but we felt safe the whole time and the metro is nearby, so we got everywhere quickly.

The room was comfortable for one person with not a lot of luggage. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The shower room was small but adequate. It’s what you would expect from a Pod Hotel. The location was close to Grand Central which is what I wanted. The staff were helpful and the communication from the hotel was excellent. I noticed that they also had free walking tours which is a nice plus for travellers.

Long Island City is a very mixed neighbourhood - industrial, working class, and areas being gentrified. Not everyone would feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood. But there is hip stuff developing.
