One of your staff was very abusive and terrible to us. I am appalled you hire staff like him

This condo worked perfectly for traveling with my dad. We arrived and were able to check in using the door code and the place was clean with everything we needed including beach supplies (chairs, snorkel etc). It comes with a well stocked kitchen and plenty of space between the two rooms.

Overall experience was fantastic although when you are staying in Alii Dr., much better to walk around than drive since it is a 1 lane road and could be congested at times. Also, parking can tend to be a little on the pricey side.

Kailua-Kona is an attractive and historic town and shouldn't be missed despite it being rather touristy. Buying fresh fruit at the farmer's market in the middle of town is very convinient (apple bananas--yum!). There are many different activities available.

Really nice area. Close to lots of things.
Really nice area. Close to lots of things. My only issue was that the food was really expensive everywhere. Enjoyed Jackie Rey’s restaurant. Mantra ray experience was fantastic. Enjoyed Wasabi island tour. The people in the restaurants were all really nice. I would definitely go back.

Swimmers from the East Coast beware!
Swimmers from the East Coast beware! The beaches are dangerous with sharp rocks and sea urchins. I stepped on one the first day there, went to urgent care only to be told that there was nothing to do but wait - and apply vinegar compresses.
The island is lovely, but make sure you wear swim shoes!

I had been to Kailua-Kona before and really liked the feel of the downtown area. Unfortunately since I was last there they have introduced paid parking just about everywhere that makes it very expensive to go out anywhere when you add in a cost of $15 per hour to park. My advice would be to stay at one of the hotels within walking distance of the downtown area if you want to enjoy the restaurants there.

The resort was a little run down but was very clean and the location well and truly made up for it. The view from the room, restaurant and pool was amazing and hearing the waves crashing on the rocks at night was so relaxing. Easy walk to coffee shops and other restaurants.
Best BnB ever! Like a small (german) paradise! Better than every hotel! So much love in details.
We would visit every apartment worldwide when it would be a chain.
Great location, short walk to beach, shops and restaurants. staff are very accomodating . No resort fee was a bonus. Good sized pool which was never overcrowded .
