Location and the staff was very friendly! Free ice and super close to the beach. Also the pool was very nice after going to the beach! Also liked that they do keypad locks to get in instead of cards.

The breakfast was delicious, we did not have to add any seasoning to the food it was perfect. Our hostess Willow which we had both mornings was a wonderful, sweet, excellent person. We loved her personality, so much, she was so helpful and also the most beautiful smile.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The process for reserving our room was so easy! The kids loved using the pool when we were done at the ocean. Perfect location for exploring the OBX area.

The place was outdated, but cozy in a rustic manner. 😊The staff was sweet, accommodating, and helpful. The rooms were clean. However, the air conditioning unit in Room 16 struggled to keep our room cool. There wasn't a fan in the bathroom, so the bathroom was absolutely miserable to be in. And why in the world is the shower head so short? I had to scrunch down to wash my hair, and I am 5',5" I loved that our motel room was so close to the beach, that for an extra $30./night, I could bring a leashed pet. But most of all, I loved that we (hubby and I) could kick off our shoes outside the door, toss our sandy pants and towels over the porch chair, and leave them over night. That's what everyone does. They treat their room like home. We had an amazing vacation in July. We will return in September. Thank You--To the friendly staff!
We love the less crowded scene at Hatteras. If you like kicking back and enjoying the ocean, sunrises and sunsets, fishing and just chilling out this is for you.
If you want tons of stuff to do, lots of bars, loud beach scene, fast food chains and hundreds of restaurants, etc. etc. Go somewhere else

We took a chance on the weather being so late in February but it worked out. Not a lot of people during that time so seemed we had the whole complex and island to ourselves. Had sun and temps were mid 60's. Best part was just exploring the OBX from Carova Beach to Ocracoke Island. We had a 4 wheel drive vehicle and got the $50 permit to drive on all the beaches. That was one of the coolest things we ever did. A lot of places were still closed for the season but we found enough open to enjoy ourselves. Overall just a real relaxing time.

Hatteras is a beautiful town. Very peaceful and quiet.
Hatteras is a beautiful town. Very peaceful and quiet. The ferry to Ocracoke Island was right next to our condo. The entrance to the beach was a short walk down the street. Also, right down the street was the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. Very interesting--make sure to watch the film before you enter the museum room. Diamond Shoals Restaurant in nearby Buxton had the most amazing food! The Hatteras Lighthouse is a short drive, and well worth it.

We were looking for a vacation spot off the beaten track,...
We were looking for a vacation spot off the beaten track, but close enough to restaurants and stores that we didn't have to drive too far out of the way. Once you get past the quirkiness (some restaurants only open a few days a week for a few hours at a time) and just take time to rest and relax, then you will appreciate this small community as a nice, quiet and peaceful place to have a vacation.

Short drive to everything you could need.
Short drive to everything you could need. Grocery and Dollar General as well as the lighthouse and the ferry. Beautiful areas to lat on the beach. Also try out the Bay side which is great for little ones.
