I have never been disappointed with a stay at Hampton Inn. This one did show signs of age, which is unusual for a Hilton. Breakfast was limited compared to other Hampton Inn's, but it's still good.

This lovely city has everything, including friendly southern people. Excellent food, family friendly entertainment everywhere, as well as the ocean, white sandy beaches, waterways, lakes, fishing, swimming, boating. The Blue Angels practice on Tuesdays just 25 miles away in Pensacola. Plenty of shopping is available. The temperature warm. It just feels comfortable and unpretentious.

We went after Labor Day, so traffic was light and the dining out was great with no wait times for tables. The weather did not accommodate us, it rained a lot, but we were just happy to be at the beach. There were several grocery stores nearby and also Walmarts. The trip was very relaxing and we can't wait to go back!

Great getaway for families or couples plenty to do. Great night life, restaurants, put put, arcade s, go carts you name it they have it. Plenty of shops too. Tanger outlets not far away. You will not be disappointed to vacation here.

It was nice but not as nice as any location in Florida. You have to pay for parking on just about everything and there wasn't as much to see or do as there is at a Florida location like Panama City. The beach and Ocean was not as beautiful as Panama City is! Last year August 2023 I went to Panama City and I had never seen the beach and water as beautiful as it was!! I had not been in YEARS and was totally surprised at how beautiful and perfect the beaches and water were. I don't know if it cleared up after hurricane Katrina or what but there was NO seaweed anywhere and the water was so clear you could see right through it to the bottom even way out. It was just beautiful. There beach in Gulf Shores was pretty but not near as nice as Panama City.
A good place to eat was Donavins Seafood. Kinda high but was told not as high as other places and the steak was off the chain!
Fishing was really good right off the beach. License was high though.

Gulf Shores beaches are comparable to Florida but a little cheaper, and they are catching up. Lots of family friendly attractions, like Gulf State Park, OWA amusement park (owned by Choctaw Indian tribe), Waterville USA water park, The Wharf Resort and intertainment center. Fort Morgan. Mobile Bay, and of course the sugar white sand beaches.
Not crazy like Panama City Beach or Destin.

The apartment was close to the beach and had a great swimming pool area overlooking the inlets. So the back of tje property was quite pretty and pleasant. The pool was a good size with plenty of sitting area, It is in the middle of Gulf Shores which is a beach holiday resort, The apartment was clean and checking in very smooth. Two queen beds in bedroom and sofa bed that we used to have separate bedrooms for two couples,
