Cosy room in central location in Cloudcroft. Very clean, lots of parking and a hearty breakfast in the cafe on site.

It's just a beautiful spot in the mountains to relax and unwind. Very good bars, restaurants and cafes in town, and a lot of stunning walks in the area.
The Western Bar is a good quirky place with good beers. Mad Jacks BBQ is fantastic - get there early!
It's steep in parts but it is very easy to get around Cloudcroft on foot.
If I could, I would move there tomorrow.

Cloudcroft is a wonderful small town at a high elevation.
Cloudcroft is a wonderful small town at a high elevation. We came here to cool off in the heat of summer and it was quite refreshing! The town is small and relaxed, but has plenty of options for eating, drinking, and shopping. Ruidoso is bigger and not far away, and there are lots of hiking opportunities nearby.

It is a great little mountain village and not nearly as commercial as Ruidoso. Ruidoso has much better places to eat and entertainment, but if you want a quiet place with a wonderful climate during the summer months, this is the place to visit.

Cloudcroft is a quaint little town with great coffee shops, artsy stores and Tshirt shops. It's a 25 minute drive down the hill from Cloudcroft to Alamogordo, and is close to White Sands and great hiking in Lincoln National Forest.

Getting around Cloudcroft is easy.
Getting around Cloudcroft is easy. Suggestion for parking, if walking is not a problem, park vehicle and walk both sides of downtown. Plenty of benches to stop & rest. Pet & people friendly. Big Daddy's & Western Bar is great food with plenty choices on the menu. Love to see the "new to me" businesses opened. The thrift store was awesome. Has so many things available, clean & easy to get around. I would avoid the "public" rest room. Not clean, crowded & smelled. The bakery down town is awesome with a coffee bar, breads, sweets & hoodies & shirts that are very affordable. Love that Cloudcroft businesses are expanding. Will continue to return to this paradise village.

There were a lot of shopping options and restaurants in town as well as hiking trails, scenic views. The Lodge did not tell us in advance that their restaurant would not be open during our stay before we reserved it. This was a major disappointment but area restaurants did offer delicious food.

This is a very interesting old hotel that has been renovated. It has the feel of El Tovar inside and the rooms are modern and very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great, and we were allowed to go up into the cupola to view sunset and moonrise. A wonderful place!
I have been coming to Cloudcroft for over 35 years and have stayed at the Lodge many times over that time span. It was exceptional for lodging comfort and meals at Rebecca's restaurant. The staff is usually courteous and professional.
