This is a beautiful old hotel with a gorgeous lobby and a nice mural in the parking lot. Despite liking the old hotel building, we were happy to stay in the cheaper motel units
These were completely adequate and comfortable. At the low price I paid, I was pleased to find shampoo, conditioner, and two different soap bars. Although there is no breakfast at the hotel, there is coffee in the lobby and full breakfast options close by.

Breakfast was good. It always is. Holiday in express is our first choice on the road. We made it to Butte because Bozeman was booked up
We were in Butte to visit my Mother at a care facility.
We were in Butte to visit my Mother at a care facility. Nonetheless, our visit was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend Two Bean quilts and MacKenzie River Pizza Company as must see locations for sewing and eating respectively.

There was plenty to see but this was just an overnight stay. Ate dinner at Sparky's. Great food and friendly atmosphere. Breakfast at Hanging Five was excellent. We try to support local businesses, so we mostly eat at local places. Wish we had more time to explore.

The Granite Mountain Memorial was particularly moving.
The Granite Mountain Memorial was particularly moving. It included letters written to loved ones by miners who were trapped by a tragic fire. Our trolley tour from 1000 George Street, led by a Butte native, gave us an informative overview of the city's diverse and oftentimes colorful history.

This was our first time in Butte and we were impressed by its old buildings and beauty. We ordered pasta bowls and received no utensils. The gentleman down at the desk gave us a plastics spark.
We were just glad to rest a bit and leave for the rest of our trip of a thousand miles.

Butte Ramada is an old tired Motel that is being renovated...
Butte Ramada is an old tired Motel that is being renovated while being occupied. There was pallets of new flooring in the lobby. The front desk guy was brand new and did not know much. The toilet seat was worn down to wood. There was no plug for the tub so I had to use a rag in a bag. The sheets were stained. The floor was new but the tub and toilet were 50 years old. I would replace the fixtures before replacing the flooring if I was really going to make it what it once was. The common area were very messy. The breakfast bar was minimal. Ramada should be embarrassed.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the remodel was of this hotel. The rooms were inviting, the beds were comfortable though a little hard for my taste, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. We asked for a late checkout by an extra hour and they granted it with no questions asked. From what the motel used to be, under a different name and owner, to what it is now, is a huge difference! We will be staying there when we come to Butte again
Old glory hotel straight out of a Wes Anderson movie. Fantastic aesthetic. The historic old town of Butte is a real trip: architecture from a bygone era, some abandoned and some reanimated. Room was clean, staff was nice, no complaints. Would wholeheartedly recommend checking out Butte and its history. Would stay in Finlen hotel again (the hotel, not the motel). Don't miss the impressive Granite Mountain Speculator Mine Memorial.
Ramada, has been renovating the hotel. They have been taking out the carpets and putting lament flooring, it's so much cleaner. The breakfast was good, they had hot scrambled eggs, sausages and hashbrown, as well as the norm of cereals, toast/bagels, muffins, fruit and waffles. I was able to bring my pet in for a charge, without any problems.
However you might want to bring your own toilet paper, the one ply is see through.

The breakfast in the hotel is superb, variety, delicious. We love having the Perkins Restaurant on the premises. After a long travel day, we just want to have something to eat, then relax in our room.
