The room had a back door which lead to a shared back deck. The sound of the water flowing was nice, but it was a shared deck with other people staying at the property.

Very nice, quite location. We had the double queen room with a river view and it was perfect for our stay. The room was super clean , the beds were comfortable, and the towels were super soft. The covered fire pit by the river was very nice with the benches and swings, very relaxing. The staff was very helpful and polite and made for a very enjoyable stay. The location is great, just a few miles from Bryson City or Cherokee. I will definitely stay here again when in the area.

It was a spur of the moment take off and stay somewhere for a night for my wife’s birthday. The owners were very nice and left a birthday card and a bottle of wine. The cabin was clean and cozy. Not one thing bad I could say. We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay. Thanks so much Nantahala Cabins!

The breakfast was excellent! Great care was taken to prepare the breakfast which was lemon pancakes with a blueberry compote and house made bacon on the side. Breakfast started with fresh peaches and granola. Absolutely delicious!
Our room had a private balcony with a view of the yard and a water fountain and since it was a beautiful evening, we enjoyed just sitting and talking out there.
Beautiful downtown area with shopping & restaurants.

I took my husband for his 72 birthday.
I took my husband for his 72 birthday. We took the 4 hour train ride in a first class car. A very nice hot meal was served. Our hostess was so nice and very helpful with info about the town.
The best part of the trip was ziplining! My husband has wanted to try it for a few years now, so I made his wish come true. It was awesome!! 11 lines, 4 hours in the gorgeous mountains of NC. You're never too old!
Also, the town itself is so charming. Wonderful stores with unique art, nothing "touristy". We will definitely go back several times a year since it is only 2 hours from our home.

A quaint little town, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains.
A quaint little town, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. Plenty to see and do after a long day of riding the rapids, fishing the streams or hiking in Great Smoky Mtns. National Park....Museums, Bars and Restaurants and fast food restaurants. Many shops to choose from as you stroll down the busy street.
A short drive to Highway to nowhere, Deep creek recreation center, Great Smoky Mountain Natl. Park, Cherokee, N.C. Fontana Dam.....The list goes on and on....
We have been there three times, and will be planing our next trip.

Great Smokey Mountain Railway is a must do. Splurge for a first class car!
We ate at Anthony's Italian. The food was great but a little pricey. Service was a little slow but the servers were very nice and apologetic. You must do Everett St. diner for breakfast and The BBQ wagon for great BBQ.

Loved the quiet town of Bryson City.
Loved the quiet town of Bryson City.
First night ate at the Rice Wagon- great food cooked to order, sat outside, lovely atmosphere. Loved trying the beers inside, brewed onsite.
Ate at Nantahala's on day 2. Excellent food & service, would recommend. Good choice of beers, also brewed on site.
Main purpose of the trip was a ride on the trains at the Great Smokies Mountain Railway. This was brilliant, loved every minute. Chose to have dinner & drinks on board, perfect service, wonderful views. Singers & narrators along the way added to the fun. Food basic but edible, added to the atmosphere.
Off the train a lovely depot to walk around including being able to play on the model railway/train lines. Press the interactive buzzers to see what moves or lights up. Many a grown up kid playing!
Easy to walk around, wide paths.

we enjoyed the cabin, although the dirt road to get up there is a little sketchy, you just have to maintain your speed going up and down, it was away from everywhere, so if you are looking for a quiet place to get away from people then this is your cabin. to get to Bryson City, it's only about 10 minutes away. the beds were very comfortable, The kitchen had more than enough supplies if you intend on cooking at the cabin.
2 blocks from all restaurants, nightlife, and the train depot. Room was clean. Owner was attentive and kind. I was looking for a retro-feel hotel reminiscent of childhood stays in Cherokee, and this place was great. The pool was clean and nice. It was exactly what I was looking for.
An older motel located on the ridge (believe or not!) above Bryson City
Beautiful views of the Smokies
Great swimming pool area
Easy parking
Bryson City is a very nice place - nice downtown, lots of restaurants etc.
