Location is wonderful, just up the hill from downtown Bryson City (persons with limited mobility may find the walk uphill hard). The Inn itself is very nice, very pretty, lovely grounds. Rooms are very spacious, great heating, good shower, all clean and well kept. Breakfast was delicious and just the right amount of food (somtimes Inns can give you too much). They thought of everything and are exceptionally accomodating. Best of all, how good they are with dogs. The room came with a little box of things for our pup (bowl, towels etc), which we really appreciated. Innkeepers are very pleasant and helpful.
Beautiful little town! I love the chocolate fudge at "Heavenly" sweets and candy is so good. I rate it a 10.
We are already planning on the train ride this spring. We all are so excited about it.

It is a nice little town.
It is a nice little town. We ate at 2 different restaurants and they were both good. We came for the Polar Express, that was great as always. We would return to Bryson City, just stay somewhere else.

I took my husband for his 72 birthday.
I took my husband for his 72 birthday. We took the 4 hour train ride in a first class car. A very nice hot meal was served. Our hostess was so nice and very helpful with info about the town.
The best part of the trip was ziplining! My husband has wanted to try it for a few years now, so I made his wish come true. It was awesome!! 11 lines, 4 hours in the gorgeous mountains of NC. You're never too old!
Also, the town itself is so charming. Wonderful stores with unique art, nothing "touristy". We will definitely go back several times a year since it is only 2 hours from our home.

A quaint little town, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains.
A quaint little town, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. Plenty to see and do after a long day of riding the rapids, fishing the streams or hiking in Great Smoky Mtns. National Park....Museums, Bars and Restaurants and fast food restaurants. Many shops to choose from as you stroll down the busy street.
A short drive to Highway to nowhere, Deep creek recreation center, Great Smoky Mountain Natl. Park, Cherokee, N.C. Fontana Dam.....The list goes on and on....
We have been there three times, and will be planing our next trip.

Great Smokey Mountain Railway is a must do.
Great Smokey Mountain Railway is a must do. Splurge for a first class car!
We ate at Anthony's Italian. The food was great but a little pricey. Service was a little slow but the servers were very nice and apologetic. You must do Everett St. diner for breakfast and The BBQ wagon for great BBQ.

McKinley Edwards Inn is a wonderful place to stay. Our room was spacious, extremely comfortable and beautifully appointed. The breakfast buffet has a good range of choice and the hot option varies each day. The owner is very pleasant and welcoming and we had a great stay. Bryson City is a convenient location for exploring the Smokies, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as the activities offered in Nantahala, Fontana, and Deep Creek. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Great location on the edge of Bryson City, quiet with a lovely view. Comfortable bed, great shower, easy keyless access, good WiFi. Easy access by car to two excellent hiking centres. Basic but adequate kitchen and crockery. For a couple it was great
An older motel located on the ridge (believe or not!) above Bryson City
Beautiful views of the Smokies
Great swimming pool area
Easy parking
Bryson City is a very nice place - nice downtown, lots of restaurants etc.
