This hotel is located on the Charles River near Harvard University and offers spacious accommodations, contemporary technology and ample facilities for an excellent visit to historic Boston.

The breakfast is very basic, but sufficient and nutritious. I’m very happy that we can have the option of complimentary breakfast at all. It’s not the case in a lot of other hotels in Boston area. Also the location is very convenient to get around, and there are a lot of free parking spaces on the premises.

FAQs about hotels in Boston

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.

The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.

The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.

Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.

The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

Boston is such a fun city! It's clean and the residents are fairly nice. There is a lot to do, from historical walking tours to whale watching cruises to amazing food. Boston is a wonderful city and a fantastic destination for a trip. Avoid dedicated "sight-seeng" focused on the usual tourist-y things (Freedom Trail, Quincy Market, etc.) unless you are very much an American history buff. Instead, explore the neighborhoods of Boston on your own (The Waterfront, North End, Beacon Hill, Back Bay, The Seaport, …). They are lovely and each has it's own character and charm. There are endless things to do. Take in a game if you're interested in that, see a show, or do something else special (Shakespeare in the Park for example in the summer). The subway is a wonderful and efficient way to get everywhere and if you want to venture far beyond Boston itself, the commuter rail is equally good. There are lots of options for getting onto the water (ferries, water taxis, harbor tours, the Boston Harbor Islands, …, and visitors should take advantage of at least one. It's a great way to see the city. The recently renovated observation deck at the Prudential Tower is just excellent. Boston is a very welcoming and approachable city. You can explore confidently. It generally feels safe and clean and well maintained while oozing charm.

Boston is busy. Little to no parking around Harvard.

Boston is busy. Little to no parking around Harvard. Street parking but limited. Made it hard to get out and explore. The highways into downtown Boston or the coast were grid locked. We were unable to explore like we have other big cities. Next time we would Uber around or stay by the coast if that is where we planned on exploring.

This is a very big hotel, very elegant and the breakfast was fantastic. You could have the full buffet or have it served to you. Thankfully it was included in the price as it was expensive. The whole atrium/Reception was very grand and could not be faulted. It's situated away from downtown in a quieter location, but it's an easy walk through Boston Common to get to the busier town. The bed was comfortable.
