First, the hotel was beautiful, very comfortable, but I got sick my first night in the hotel. I went to the emergency room and emergency room kept me for 48 hours. I called the hotel explained to them that I’ve got Sidk at the hotel. I went to the emergency room and emergency room kept me and if I could get one day come back and they told me no and I really don’t think that’s fair because I didn’t plan on getting sick or plan on getting admitted to the emergency room and they couldn’t do anything for me. I don’t think that’s fair.

FAQs about hotels in Boston

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.

The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.

The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.

Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.

The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

We travelled to Boston from New York by train.

We travelled to Boston from New York by train. Had 2.5 days in the city. We absolutely loved Boston. Walked everywhere. Took Ubers back to the hotel in the evenings as it was freezing! We arrived too early to check into the hotel. So we left our luggage and headed off to do a self guided tour of the Freedom trail. We bought a guidebook from the visitor centre. Very easy to follow the red bricks. Had an awesome lunch at the markets. Seafood chowder was phenomenal! Following day did the Boston Tea Party Museum and sightseeing around the city. Travelled to Harvard (train) on the last day and spent time in the museum and grounds of Harvard. Overall a fabulous long weekend in a city rich with history.

I've been to Boston several times but staying at the St Botolph's is more comfortable than staying at a hotel around Copley as it's location is superb and the inn is less chaotic. Boston is full of charm.

Quite a small city and easy to get around and see the sites.

Quite a small city and easy to get around and see the sites. We went in mid-January so it was extremely cold, but if you have the right clothes it is a great time to go as it was quiet. Boston Common was very close to the hotel and, therefore, to the start of the Freedom Trail, which is a must for all visitors. Once you’ve done that, it is easy to orientate yourself and you’ll have seen most of the main historical landmarks. We did a tour of Fenway Park - home of the Boston Red Sox - which was great, and had to drop in to the Cheers bar (those of a certain age will know…!). Great city, wonderful food, lovely hotel and would highly recommend.

We loved how accessible the public transport was! We could get around really easy. The only thing would be they need to make the signage a little visitor friendly but there are staff at stops to help. Our trip was too short so will be coming back for longer next time. The hostel has some fantastic activities and we wished we had not time to make the most of these.

Boston is a wonderful city, but like other cities around the world has not recovered well after Covid. Several businesses did not reopen especially on Boylston Street. Beer and food prices have increased by 30% from last year. There are still some good bars around with live music. Average price for a main course is $30. Transport is good, the T subway is generally clean but is busy at morning and evening or when a sports game is on. We were there Christmas through New Year and bought a weekend ticket for the MBTA trains for $10. You could use it as many trips as you wanted during the period great value. There are loads of trails to walk, plenty of historic sites.

First time in Boston and was impressed.

First time in Boston and was impressed. Very walkable city, a calm and peaceful vibe, not the crazy rush of NY for example. Very nice architecture, with red brick buildings, great parks and shopping, all very close to each other. Boston College was impressive architectural wise, loved strolling through Boston Commons, the Public Garden, Beacon Hill and Newberry Street. Since we were there in winter, would definitely come back to see it in the summer.

The staff at the property were extremely friendly, helpful and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We arrived in the am of our check in day and were greeted by the most lovely young lady at reception. As we were there too early to check in, she stored our luggage and directed us to the coffee and tea station, restrooms and seating area on site. She also provided us with a city map and went above and beyond with explaining local cafe locations. This was the best welcome to a hotel that we experienced in our entire 5 week stay in the USA.

The layout of the quad room was quite convenient and spacious, well-designed, and quite functional for a hotel stay, especially with children. The location of the hotel is unbeatable as everything is within walking distance and close to downtown Boston. The facilities (common lounge, coworking space, gym) were a fantastic idea.
