One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as ‘America’s Walking City’. In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. The nearby seaport offers whalewatching trips and restaurants serving a Boston speciality: lobster with melted butter.
The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modelled on the 80s sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book ‘Make Way for Ducklings’. The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.
The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.
Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.
The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

Boston is a wonderful city, but like other cities around the world has not recovered well after Covid. Several businesses did not reopen especially on Boylston Street. Beer and food prices have increased by 30% from last year. There are still some good bars around with live music. Average price for a main course is $30. Transport is good, the T subway is generally clean but is busy at morning and evening or when a sports game is on. We were there Christmas through New Year and bought a weekend ticket for the MBTA trains for $10. You could use it as many trips as you wanted during the period great value. There are loads of trails to walk, plenty of historic sites.

First time in Boston and was impressed.
First time in Boston and was impressed. Very walkable city, a calm and peaceful vibe, not the crazy rush of NY for example. Very nice architecture, with red brick buildings, great parks and shopping, all very close to each other. Boston College was impressive architectural wise, loved strolling through Boston Commons, the Public Garden, Beacon Hill and Newberry Street. Since we were there in winter, would definitely come back to see it in the summer.

Boston is a safe, walkable city.
Boston is a safe, walkable city. It is easy to see the city by foot and mass transit is easy to use. Great food, especially in the North End. This trip was over Christmas, so our activities were limited. In a previous trip, I did a food tour of the North End. Highly recommend the tour.

Boston is a great city to visit, especially if you are interested in American history. All our great revolutions started there and, if we are lucky, maybe a new one. You can follow a historical or hysterical (or both) guide on the Freedom Trail, climb aboard the U.S.S. Constitution, see witches in Salem, visit past presidents, from John Adams to JFK, have a beer at the Cheers bar, or simply enjoy a lobstah suppah. If you happen to be there in June, you should certainly turn gay for a day and take part in the Pride Parade or visit a university, as there are more of them in the city than Starbucks. Fun places, but be smaht.

We loved that we were so close to the Common and therefore so centrally located for walking jaunts. The whole Freedom Trail (and North End), Beacon Hill, Back Bay & Newbury Street all easily walkable. Truly a perfectly placed location, with everything nearby.

I only stayed for 1 night and it was a very comfortable sleep. I didn't get to experience all the amenities as I spent my day exploring. Hotel is close to the waterfront and I would suggest a little stroll and take in the breathtaking view of the city. Boston was good to us. Definitely worth the trip.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable (as was the whole hotel). Breakfasts were excellent; I particularly liked the wide selection of fresh fruits and juices. The location was on a waterfront with most of central Boston within walking distance. Hotel staff were excellent without exception.
Great location, nice hotel :) Ruka restaurant is making difference. Extremely great food, great service , super drinks for good price. Boston is extremely expensive but we had great comfortable time for fair price :)
Best regards for Elona - she was servicing our room extremely great !
The hotel is smack in the middle of Back Bay and is quite close to the subway and rail. It's also just a short walk to get to Boston Common, so you can avoid having to take taxi too much. There is a decent coffee shop downstairs, and an okay Mexican restaurant.
a very nice hotel with big and silence room in the center of Boston. very easy to reach from South Station and the airport. 2 minutes walking and you are in the hearth of Boston
