The very friendly staff. They were always helpful, and didn't bullshit me, but just generously admitted that this was a hotel that had seen better days. I also appreciated the microwave oven and refrigerator in the rooms. The beds were OK, and the TV worked (but only had live TV, which is kind of pointless with the constant commercials).

Bloomington is a typical mid-western college town, so when you go there is important. If school is in session, it can be too crowded and too loud with college students just about out numbering residents. Otherwise, it is a very cute town that is very accessible with lots of good restaurants and shops.

We traveled to Bloomington, INDIANA, to see the first of our grandchildren graduate from high school. Our stay at the La Quinta Inn in Bloomington, INDIANA, was great!
I have capitalized INDIANA because Booking.com apparently does not know there are numerous cities named Bloomington. They suggested we visit the Mall of America and other activities to do in Bloomington, MINNESOTA. Among others, there is also a Bloomington, ILLINOIS. Only the address of the property on the website mentioned in what state it was located. Attention to detail needs some work☹️

The staff was very nice and bed was nice.
The staff was very nice and bed was nice. I was very disappointed in the hotel. The bathroom had absolutely no counter space to put your items on. The shower was very hard to figure out how to work. I was disappointed that as a Comfort Inn, it was so old. It looks like they just took an old hotel and made it into a Comfort Inn with not doing any remodeling to bring it to Comfort Inn quality. I wouldn't stay there again.

IT IS A VERY SHORT DISTANCE FOR INDIANA UNIVERSITY.
IT IS A VERY SHORT DISTANCE FOR INDIANA UNIVERSITY. THE DOWNTOWN AREA WAS CUTE WITH MANY SMALL SHOPS. THE B-LINE TRAIL IS VERY CLOSE, A GREAT PLACE TO WALK AND I AM SURE ON THE WEEKENDS THERE WOULD BE VENDORS. MANY DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS TO DINE, SHOPPING, AND GREAT PARKS CLOSE.

Bloomington has it all.
Bloomington has it all. There are great parks and golf courses nearby. Tons of activity on campus for travelers and sports enthusiasts. Awesome architecture. The city is charming and gives small town vibes, but also has the cultural diversity of a big city. The bars and restaurants are top notch, from cozy dive, to fine dining. Shopping is great as well, with retail and chains stores to upscale boutiques and handmade. There is something for everyone here.

We've visited Bloomington several times since leaving, but haven't lived here for more than half a century. Not many old folks will come back to visit after that time and say "Hey, this place was wonderful back then--and it's even better now."
Breakfast was simple but nice, with real plates and cutlery rather than plastic waste. Sleeper and the Bar is such a great benefit to the place; and all of the staff at hotel were always so friendly and helpful. This place is great value for money, and I will return the next time I am working there!
The hotel had not received the booking details from Booking.com but quickly confirmed the availability of a room and honored the price when I showed the details of the booking on my phone. Every single member of staff throughout the whole week were courteous and helpful.
The place was clean a decorated nicely. Great touches that are so Bloomington and IU. The red chairs were a nice touch. Staff was friendly and professional. Great location.
