The most accommodating people you would ever meet. The hotel isn't perfect. It's a budget hotel. But the owners and staff will do anything within their power to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The meals were home-cooked and for a good price you'll get a 3 course dinner and an excellent breakfast. We stayed for a week and would stay again any time

We had a fantastic experience at this beautiful Farm Lodge. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The vegetarian dinner was outstanding – one of the best we’ve ever had! Breakfast was also delicious and offered a great variety. The rooms were lovely, clean, and comfortable. Overall, it was a perfect stay.

The staff was very vriendly and tried their best to make us happy and make up for the disappointment of the beginning. The food was really nice and even though the accomodation was rather different from the description on booking, it was still a nice clean accomodation.

Karatu offers resorts and staycations through a range of properties. Make sure they are at least 2Kms or more from town, as the town area is too dusty especially during dry season. Only the Main Road is of bitumen, most of the side roads are muddy and kicks up too much brown dust.
