From the moment we arrived at Sahari, we knew we were in for a special experience. The absolute highlight of our stay was the incredible staff. Every single person, from the front desk to housekeeping and beyond, was genuinely kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm smile. Their hospitality made us feel truly at home, which is something you rarely find, even in top-rated hotels.
A special thank you to Vee, who made us feel at home from the very first evening with her warmth and kindness. Amos and Christina were also amazing, always so welcoming and helpful. And truly, every single staff member we encountered was just as wonderful. It felt like staying with family rather than just a hotel.
The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-maintained, offering a perfect balance to feel comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making our stay as relaxing as possible.
Another standout feature was the beautiful and impeccably clean pool area. Whether we wanted to take a refreshing swim or simply lounge and soak up the sun, it was the perfect place to unwind.
But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the people. The warmth, the smiles, and the genuine care from the staff made this one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place where they will not only be treated as guests but as family!

After a long journey we had the warmest of welcomes and felt as if we’d stepped into paradise. The location is stunning, the hosts are the friendliest and most helpful people. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and their attention to detail, to ensure your stay provided you with the best experience, was second to none. They organised local trips for us at a very competitive rate and ensured we had the best time. The rooms were immaculate and the food was freshly sourced, local and cooked to perfection. The staff were so warm and friendly. We have nothing but praise for this gem of a hotel.

Excellent lunch and dinner at fair price level. The suite is very nice. But the best feature for sure is the location just by the beach and the garden at the hotel. Very relaxing atmosphere.

The accomodation was amazing. Beautiful views, peaceful location right on the beach, great food. Our villa was well maintained and cleaned, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Big 'thank you' for our hostess Aliya, who was helpful with every request and question we had and made our stay as delightful as possible.
Definitely recommend.

We stayed at Hoom, in Dongwe, north of Bwejuu. We did not actaully see the village of Bwejuu at all. The main road runs behind the beach from Jambiani to Dongwe and continues up north to Pingwe. You can travel by taxi (expensive - need to negotiate) tuk-tuk (less expensive, negotiate extensively) or daladala (cheap, you need to adapt). There are resorts and hotels along the beach, and right behind it, and also very poor villages. People burn waste in the evenings, including plastics. Zanzibar smells of nice spices, but also burnt plastics. Disposable plastic bags are banned in Tanzania, thank goodness, but plastic bottles are everywhere. We loved the beach in Dongwe because it's less commercial and has lots of natural shade. It also has some nice hotels and restaurants.

I really like the way Bwejuu is within reach to most scenic places. For example, I managed to reach places such as the Blue Safari, Stone Town, Kizimbani, and others, with ease. The people are very hospitable and ready to assist tourists at any time. May it is important to choose the right season to visit because I found the month of December very hot. However, the ocean compensate for the hot temperatures.

Outside of one of the most beautiful ocean and beaches we have seen, Bwejuu is a rather small village without much to expect from. However, Paje is only a few minutes away and has all the services you may be looking for.

Bwejuu is a small village with only a few hotels and limited restaurant options, but the hotels' restaurants are high quality so we didn't really mind. Paje has more options, but is also busier. Bwejuu is perfect for an intimate and relaxing getaway holiday away from the hustle and bustle.

A quiet part of the east coast but very easy to grab a taxi and head into Paje for drinks and dancing. It was very chilled out and felt very safe so lovely to be able to take long evening walks along the beach.

Bwejuu is set on a beautiful beach north of Paje. There’s a lot to do in the area (caves, forests , spice farms, Rock restaurant) and lots of bars and restaurants however you’ll need transportation to access them.
We travelled around the entire island in an hire car which I would highly recommend, was great fun and easy to find our way around. I would say this area is more dirty and littered which is a shame as the rest of the country is really well kept.

Bellevue is up on a hill just above the beach and has a wonderful jungle feel. The staff are really friendly and the bar area is lovely. The bar was open till 10 pm and it was a really nice place to hang out and play games. Our family room had a huge balcony with a wonderful view over trees down to the sea. The pool was being renovated when we were there so we were allowed to use the luxury pool at Bellevue’s sister hotel on the beach which was fantastic.
– Beautiful place: so many lovely details and chill-spots
– super friendly and helpful team, really great persons
– very good food at the hotel: compliment to the kitchen
– Beach is clean
– A lot of friendly people around and good restaurants: Make sure to visit 3-Brothers-Restaurant at the Beach. They are very kind-hearted people with good food.
