The room was wonderful, very spacious. The housekeepers were great. I liked the location of the hotel. It was close to many things. The gym was small but functional. I enjoyed the in room dinner service food menu. They also have a foreign money exchange bank inside the hotel. The pool is kept clean everyday. I enjoyed being able to eat outside as well.

Our stay in Dan Stam was great. The communication with Yann was excellent since the beginning and the staff did everything to make our stay comfortable. We had a small hiccup with the airport pickup, but it was solved within a short amount of time in the middle of the night! The hotel was reachable and everything got quickly arranged even if it was 2 in the morning. On top of that we had an extra treat from Yann which was highly appreciated and showed how highly he holds the satisfaction of his customoers. Our room was very big and the bed very comfortable and the surrounding garden gave a nice oasis vibe.

The Indian food is exceptional, and the chef is outstanding. Despite being an older property, the hotel is impeccably clean, and the rooms are very spacious. Jonathan at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. Happy and the other staff were so friendly and kind. The airport shuttle is very convenient too. The rooms are nice and are a great value. the grounds were beautiful and had a pool and a nice playground for the little ones to play at. The restaurant has good food, and the free breakfast was great...they even made us "to-go" box breakfasts for our 4:30 am shuttle departure to the airport!

Easy to get into the town in a TukTuk. We walked back to the hotel. Busy roads and its a bit like wacky races but we enjoyed the vibe. Friendly people who helped us navigate the town. We went to the market, the cultural centre and the Natural History Museum. We had lunch just off the Boma at The Coffee Cafe. We had a young man who stayed with us and looked after us and showed us the sights for a small tip. There are lots of people who ask you to buy stuff and beg but we never felt unsafe. Everyone is friendly. Nice guide at the museum who was knowledgeable and interesting.

Great place to travel for both business and leisure.
Great place to travel for both business and leisure. Uzunguni and Njiro are good areas to be comfortable to move around on late nights. I visited Uzunguni Park, Andrew's, George's Tavern, Kitamu Cafe and House, Pablo Picasso, Beer Garden and some fried fried from Jfc 😊.
In-drive is a game changer for easy movements.

Clean and busy town. Everyone so helpful. Easy to move around feeling secure. Ate nice roast goat meat in town in a club and didn't feel threatened given I was traveling alone as a woman.
I would definitely plan a longer stay next time.

I attended a conference at the AICC and for convenience I ate my dinner at the Mount Meru Hotel. I enjoyed the safari to Tarangire Park and had a lovely goat and lamb BBQ at the local Kwa Mrombo (a street full of BBQ goat meat in Arusha).

Arusha is not a pleasant place, on the very dirty crowded streets there is non stop people grabbing and talking to you all wanting money, we had one person tell us about his mother in the hospital and wanted us to pay her bills. Arusha is a means to a safari and that is it.

I have visited old German Boma which was converted into Natural History Museum.
Seen also Arusha Declaration Monument and Clocktower which they claim it’s located in the middle of Africa or let say in the middle between Cairo and Cape Town.
They have some supermarkets like Shoppers Supermarket or AIM Mall on the way to Arusha Airport.
East African Community HQ and Heritage Museum.
When I think about Bright Star Hotel, I think about home in Africa... Room is nice, bed is comfortable. Terrace is perfect place to relax, yard enables peace from busy city of Arusha. We had amazing food, and A LOT OF food. There's supermarket in nearby.
But the most important to mention are people. Veronica and other staff are very kind, helpful, always there to help. There's no problem for them. Me and my husband felt really comfortable and if we ever come back, we'll choose Bright Star Hotel.
This hotel / B&B is so lovely. Perfectly located just out of Arusha town and on the road toward Namanga.
We stayed here after 7 weeks camping / road tripping through South-East Africa and it was a highlight. The rooms were so clean, cozy and the showers were excellent.

For the Arusha standards, the hotel was okay-ish. Very good price and decent location (not right in the city center, but 15 mins by walk from it). There is a restaurant working until 11 pm if you want to have dinner at the hotel. The hotel and the room were clean - no dust.
Nice place if you want to stay for some days in Arusha in a budget. The people working there are very nice and helpful, so you will not regret! The also have an awesome terrace in the top floor and is very close to the city center
