Family home with 4 guest rooms. Excellent hosts with attention to every detail to ensure comfort of the guests. We arrived late (after dinner) and it was dark and raining heavily. Hosts came out to greet us with umbrellas and took our luggage to the rooms. Breakfast next morning was excellent and we could not finish. Host packed the balance with extra homemade bread for us to eat during our journey. House and rooms are amazing, comfortable and luxurious. Room rate is steep, but highly recommend stay for special occasion(s).

It is quite near to Shizhao bus station (850m) but the walk up slope to the homestay is rather tough, especially if you have luggage. The owners are willing to send clients to the bus station if you need to take public bus to Fenqihu or Alishan.
The owners are very friendly and give you ideas of the trails you can do in Shizhao, Fenqihu or Alishan. They even know the timings of the public buses to take to the various places.
There is free flow of Alishan tea from their own tea plantation & spring water.

Chicken and fried stream shrimps. Best to rent a car or book for private transport to travel around Alisan as the interval for public bus iS at least half an hour.
The location was amazing and the married couple who ran the minsu was exceptionally kind. We had travelled to Alishan via public transport, so the couple offered to drive us from the minsu into town for dinner, and then back again. They were so welcoming, and were also able to accomodate our dietary restrictions (both vegetarian) for breakfast, which was very delicious! We were only able to stay for 1 night, but there's so much to see at Alishan, so we're definitely looking forward to coming back and staying here again!
The location is kind of secluded, however, that is to expect in the middle of the mountain. Thankfully, owners provide free transport to and from the property from the bus stops. The owners were also very nice and considerate. They even helped arrange transportation up Alishan to watch the sunrise. Overall all was great, however do note that certain things are dependent on the owners' flexibility and time. Do enquire beforehand.
Our stay at the guesthouse was truly amazing! The place is beautiful and very comfortable. We had the opportunity to visit the family's tea farm. We also bought their tea - which is delicious - to bring back as gifts for our family and friends.
