The house and the location are really good. House is fully equipped for stay - everything as written, all functional. If something is broken service man come to fix it. Water is drinkable. The owner always responds quickly. People arounds are really nice and helpful. The buses from capital is going every 2 hours during the week (if the bus does not come someone give you a lift). There is a shop at the beach selling bus tickets and they have bus schedules. There is supermarket and places to eat - all restaurants cook very tasty meals. The dogs were not on the property during our stay and are not agresive.

Fabulous place, we had the flat on the first floor and the view was incredible. The flat was superb and very well equipped, perfect!
The hosts were also so nice and very helpful with everything we needed, communication was brilliant and so easy. We met Marlon and were in contact with Rhonda, communication was brilliant and they were very welcoming.
I would highly recommend this place, it is also easy walking distance from the village center and the beach.
Castara is a lovely place and there is plenty to do around.
I would love to come back.

Lovely quiet location. Large comfortable room. Every single staff member was warm, friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast and menu. Hotel beach very good for swimmimg. Owners often around which made for a personal experience. They were very helpful and provided lots of local information. Definately would stay again.

I went out-of-season and at times felt like I had the hotel to myself. There were definitely more staff than patrons. So they were happy to oblige with any request. The room was lovely, well appointed and clean, and the location is beautiful. Within a 10 minute walk or couple of minutes drive you can reach six different beaches, dozens of places to buy food and drink, including the excellent bar on the beach operated by the hotel. Being on a hill means you get beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
Located in Sou Sou Lands, free WiFi access is also available at this property. All rooms are located on the ground floor. Complete with a refrigerator, the dining area also has kitchenware.

Loved the people, the location and food to die for! It is a short but steep hill down to the beach so a hot walk back but totally worth it.
Castara Retreats is built on the hillside like most Tobago property with lots of steps so not for those with mobility issues.
Perfect for winter sunshine, a warm welcome and an away from everything vibe!!

Lovely small fishing village in the middle of the rainforest. Loads of birds, great scenery. Perfect for hiking, relaxation or party after sunset, depends on what's your mood and needs for the day. Very friendly people, very welcoming atmosphere, delicious local food.

A very beautiful rustic seaside village with lots of scienic spots friendly villagers and gorgeous beaches.There are also waterfalls and lovely nature trails.
We had breakfast and drinks at Chenos Coffeehouse. It was absolutely delicious and the owner was very hospitable.

My family and I always stayed around Crown point.
My family and I always stayed around Crown point. This time our vacation was longer and wanted to stay more country quiet. So Castara was excellent. We did not have a favorite every beach village was a different experience. Our drive around the island was exciting.

The beach and local business around that area were awesome.
The beach and local business around that area were awesome. The restaurants all provided great food with diverse menus. There were a couple of restaurants that also featured night-time entertainment. African drummers, Karaoke and night-time bonfire.
The culture of the village was great where you got to experience the local baking delights offered a couple of times a week, though you had to be sure to book your orders to beat demand.
A true no-hassle environment where everyone was warm and welcoming.

Castara Retreats was the most amazing place. Our views from the Coasthanger were spectacular. We loved every moment of our stay and it ticked all the boxes we look for in a holiday. I’ve travelled a lot, but this place is definitely one of my favourites! Lovely decorated, the bath tub is amazing, people are so nice.. literally a few steps from the beach, and even sea views! On top of all this Castara is a lovely town, very safe, beautiful beach and lovely restaurants! Thank you! We miss It already and we’ll be back in the future :)
set in the hills of castara overlooking the beautiful blue ocean. definitely a great place to calm the mind. due to the pandemic, many places are picking themselves back up. a very small community of extremely friendly people.

The best part however is the atmosphere, in big part thanks to Roachie, the hotel's manager but also due to how the balconies are set up
Superb views - it would have been impossible to get better views to be honest! Comfortable and relaxing - great to be on the quieter little beach than the nearby Castara Beach
