The host, Hassan, was incredibly attentive and welcoming! He responded very quickly to our messages/calls and provided us with a lot help booking a campsite in the desert. The place was very clean and new and the courtyard was a really nice place to relax! We had a nice breakfast too.

Camp Abdelmoula is really private and is located 2.5 hours away by 4x4 from their base in Douz. It's in a beautiful location surrounded by dunes (where we climbed up to enjoy the sunset and sunrise) and mountains.
Staff are friendly and the food here is wonderful. We really enjoyed dinner.

Camp facilities are basic, bring your own lights to see better inside the tent. It will be cold in winter so proper warm clothes is required as the blankets are not enough to keep warm.
If you don't have a proper 4x4, you will need to go in their cars and that will be additional fee. Check with Camp Abdelmoula on the cost.

very authentic experience in a berber house. set remotely, right on the edge of the desert (that could be viewed as good or bad!) about 5km outside Douz. host very friendly, despite having little English.

A remote camp, two hours in a 4x4 from Douz. The tent was really comfortable and the evening meal delicious, and there was alcohol. wish we would have stayed extra nights
