brand new hotel, equipments are top, wifi is average, but personnel onsite was amazingly nice, helped us called a taxi, etc etc...

I liked absolutely everything! The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good, the staff was friendly, the location was great. And also a very important moment - when we left with a friend, I forgot my backpack in the parking lot and this wonderful staff personally picked it up so that no one stole it and then through friends handed it to me! I highly recommend this hotel!

I did not expect it to be a beautiful, clean, safe place to walk around even at night. Despite the language barrier, people are nice and accommodating trying to help you with direction. I noticed that the drivers are very patient and seldom use their horn and gives priority to pedestrian. Parks and trees are everywhere. Food and stay is affordable.

We had wonderful time in Tajikistan. I would highly recommend Dushanbe as a cultural experience. Tajikistan is over 90% mountains and the views are wonderful. The general populace is extremely hospitable and kind. Go informed, however. This country is small, poor, and has a corruption problem. The border guards are known to let you in without filling out an immigration card and giving you grief for it when you leave, hoping for bribes. The water is not safe to drink, and I would not recommend buying food from street vendors. If you are traveling from America, do not be surprised at small inconveniences like showers being broken, food items not on the menu, or airplanes running a couple of hours late. But these are small inconveniences. Buy your water, do your homework ahead of time on immigrations, and allow extra hours in your travel times. Relax and enjoy the scenery! You won't be sorry!

I visited Tajikistan for the first time, and stayed at Atlas hotel Dushanbe. I booked this hotel through booking.com, and found it very convenient for everything. They offered very diverse breakfast, free laundry, high speed internet, very professional, hospitable, and helpful staff, who supported to understand the nearby areas, calling taxi, suggesting nearest places to visit, even helped to exchange foreign currency etc. So I would highly recommend this hotel.
Truly brilliant location — right in the heart of Dushanbe: the evening passaggio can’t be replicated at the new built, characterless glamorous hotels — I visited one of those & might have been anywhere. You walk out into a Neo-classical cityscape of 1930s Central Asia. The Rohat is near museums and the city’s best restaurant (al Sham!) and the best coffee in Dushanbe (Moose!). Great laundry service. I got sick at one point & it was a restful place to recover.
