What a wonderful find! This place is perfect if you are driving down to southern Thailand. It’s a couple of minutes off the main route, yet is so quiet and tranquil! The rooms were spotless, easy to access as you can drive your car directly to the front door! The swimming pool was HUGE! There is a 7/11 a couple of mins walk away and a super Belgium/French restaurant within a 5 min drive.
I don’t think you’d find a better value stay!!!
To top off our amazing stay we realised we had left my little boys ‘magic’ Christmas elf in the room when we checked out. He was devastated… However the owner has been amazing! He’s found the elf and is forwarding it to us, how incredibly kind!

Very clean hotel with a nice breakfast included. It was just a short walk to the train station which was great. Easy walk to waterfront & restaurants. Nice beach was on a road through the army base & a tuk tuk ride away.

A tranquil seaside town. The tourist population is majority older European couples who are enjoying a leisurely stay at the beach. Very beautiful scenery. A bit hard transport wise unless you constantly pay for taxis or rent your own motorbike.

its not resort, in 5 days i saw maybe 15 tourist there, in the beach we were only ones, no loud bars no gogo etc. you can just peacefully relax, cheap food, also night market, can take bicycle and cycle around (dont choose main roads) nice countryside with few traffic, probably it would be good idea to rent scooter or car to explorer more, i just spent 5 days, 2 days used bicycle (20+60km) just cycled and discovered no itenary

One night only is too short. I extended my stay. The town is not big, but after many big and noisy places this place is perfect. No mad traffic. Lots of very nice restaurants and cafes. Nature, mountains, monkeys (two types black and brown, gentle and less friendly :) :) :)
Easy to arrive here with the train.

Smallish but charming provincial town.
Smallish but charming provincial town. Easy to reach via train. Good food markets including a daily one near the clock tower and a Friday-Saturday market along the waterfront. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs to keep you busy, many good quality coffee shops, and a general laid back and friendly feel. Not really a beach getaway destination, but if you are looking for a few days of easy-going comfort at a great price, this might be the place for you.

The beach at Ao Mango is beautiful but very shallow, at Prachuap itself the beach looks nice as well though especially towards the north of the town - there were not many swimmers at all though so not sure how good it is for swimming.
There was a big festival / fair for Sonkran taking up the entire city seafront, I am not sure how busy / quite it is normally.

A beautiful bay with shallow water for swimming. Hardly any waves. The town is small and while it has some features like hotels and eateries to attract tourists, it is not a 100% tourist orientated town. If you don't like the big time holiday resorts with high-rise hotels, like Hua Lin, Prachuap Khiri Khin is a good option. Beach is very close to the town. A good evening market alongside the beach.
You can walk just about anywhere. The rail station is close to town and the bus station only a little bit farther. You won't see it on the destination boards but all the trains up and down the main line south from Bangkok, stop there.

The woman running the hotel was so friendly and helpful - amazing really. The room was enormous and really very nice at this price with a huge double bed. Spotless.. Close to the seafront, yet is so quiet as it is on a small road between main streets. Free bikes which were actually pretty good once we treated the brown and parched chains to a drop of oil! The cycle through the town and air force base to Lemon Bay is excellent (about 5km). The bay itself is also very nice and very quiet!
The sea view…most rooms seemed to have a sea view. The bed/bedding was comfortable, the room was clean and fellow guests were quiet. I slept well!
The free snack breakfast was a nice touch. The set breakfasts Thai or western 100 baht were good value. Plenty of other options nearby.

Rooms are spacious and clean. The owner is very welcoming, humble, helpful and treated us like their own guest. If you are in Prachuap khiri khan and experience Thai hospitality, this is the place to stay! You can also rent bicycle here to roam around.
It's actually a pretty decent hotel. Very clean, everything worked as it should, excellent location very close to the bay. Very attentive staff, even though their English is not that good they try hard.
