The location, right on the beach & opposite Mini Mart for supplies. The breakfast and food overall was excellent. Constant supply of coffee and ‘Mook’ the general ‘Mama’ of the restaurant area, who was an absolute delight and a wealth of information. It will be a great loss to the resort when she retires to Chang Mai.
The whole area goes to sleep by 12 so no loud music all night so you can sleep.

The hotel is in a great location, close to town and within walking distance of the beach. The staff were helpful, and the owner was very responsive, even assisting during a monkey encounter. The boho-style decor is charming, and the café is a lovely addition. While the hotel has great potential, the room we stayed in could use refurbishment to match the quality of other rooms. The internet was quite okay as well, we could work properly in the nice seating area above the cafe.

Koh Chang is a wonderful spot if you're looking for a relaxing holiday at a beach. Nightlife, daily activities ( other than Marine), markets etc are very limited. Would not be enjoyable if the island gets too busy which I expect won't take long. Would have liked more time so we could have gone on to Koh Mak and Koh Kood. Perhaps next time. pretty similar to koh Phan gan

The sea and the mountains are close together and the scenery is amazing.
Although there are some busy streets, overall it is a quiet and relaxing island, so I really like it.

Koh Chang is without question the best island in Thailand it takes effort to get too but well worth it, ensure you visit El Barrio for the best Mexican food in Thailand, I can’t put into words how good Koh Chang is the beaches are simply wonderful the people warm and friendly and you don’t have 10’s of 1000’s of tourists it is quiet and peaceful yet it has a really vibrant nighttime scene that includes some top notch restaurants, do your homework on location we were in the private villa end of blue haven bay which is faultless but located at the quiet ned of town (think Nusa Dua) we easily remedied this with a cheap car hire that allowed us flexibility but next time I would probably stay up near El Barrio as this is the real heart of Koh Chang pumping with life and vibrancy. All in all don’t miss Koh Chang it leaves most other islands for dead in my humble opinion.

My new favourite island in Thailand.
My new favourite island in Thailand. For me finding a quiet beach to sit, relax and read is perfect. But yet there are still lots of bars and restaurants to go to. And lots of activities that can be arranged easily if you wish to. My day trip around the island was fabulous and well worth the money and included a lovely lunch. Transport was easy with the taxis going past constantly. Everyone I met, both Thai and tourists were lovely and friendly. I would definitely come again.

Beautiful island with many activities such as a 3 islands snorkeling…Kai Bei was our favourite little beach with visiting elephants having a daily swim…magical!

The first row sea view room made us feel very relaxed and peaceful. Well designed room had everything we need. Delicious buffet breakfast by the sea which we enjoyed the view very much. The hotel staffs were very helpful and all with a good service attitude. There are also free kayaks and stand-up paddles for fun. Beautiful swimming pool. The resort area is quite large and allows people to wander around. There are also some beautiful peacocks roaming freely in the resort. Free shuttle bus to go the white sand beach area and local market.
perfect location, stayed with family: 2 kids. Initially wanted to stay 5 nights and to get move to another location in Ko Chang, but then drove around and realised the resort is at the best spot of the island. The beach was perfect, very clean water, the restaurants and massage places within 5 minutes walk, we did not need to rely on the scooter. Also if you absolutely lazy and can't walk 5 minutes hotel staff could give you a lift in buggy to the restaurants main street.
Tucked away behind a large hotel on White Sand Beach's main drag, Maleeya offers quiet seclusion and basic rooms at a reasonable price. It's definitely no frills, but still provides the basics, including good WiFi. If you need frills, venture to the beach and dig a bit deeper into your wallet.
