Beautiful colonial style hotel. Clean, nice beach, pool was huge. As it was low season we got an amazing rate.

One can get a little nostalgic when talking about the development of Hua Hin. The first beachside resort town in Thailand was originally a small fishing village. It manages to maintain a laid-back atmosphere despite chain hotels invading the best vantage points along Hua Hin Beach.
The current King of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej, spends much of his time here in the royal residence of Klai Kangwon Palace, built in 1927. The local Thai population have followed ever since as they escape the stifling heat of Bangkok.
Hin Lek Fai Hill provides the finest outlook of the bay and its 5 km-long stretch of beach. The central Hua Hin Night Market satisfies your wallet and your stomach with its mix of local souvenirs and freshly cooked seafood.
These days there is a distinctive cosmopolitan flair to the city with many restaurants and hotels purveying a European influence. It is also less hectic than Pattaya, the rival beach resort on the other side of the Bay of Thailand.
Hua Hin Airport has flights from Bangkok, and the wooden Thai-style train station is regarded as the prettiest in Thailand. The city has many hotels and resorts for families and couples and Booking.com can also accommodate you at the famous Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas.
Run down. A couple of the tourist spots we wanted to visit we were unaware had closed down, due to Covid I believe. We found Hua Hin without much character and was amazed that due to the layout it was impossible to even know from the road that there was a beach behind all those hotels and shops. We have visited Thailand many times but found Hua Hin lacking any ambiance.

I had a beachfront room and the joy of falling asleep to the sound of the surf was wonderful. This is a small resort a 15 minute walk to shops and nightmarket or a 75B ($4) fare to the local shopping centre. The staff at this resort was so gentle and professional. I will definately return to this little oasis.

HH is pretty nice - great night market with some really nice food and entertainment etc. Not entirely sure I'd like to live there like a lot of expats do, but it's a pretty relaxed place just the same!

I like the urban environment behind the beach.
I like the urban environment behind the beach. People are friendly and honest. There is a nice laid back atmosphere. It's actually quite a large place. After a week I am discovering still I have not seen. There's lots of food and entertainment choices and prices are cheaper than Bangkok. Lots of older expats but also lots of holiday makers, including families.

A great place to spend 2-3 days.
A great place to spend 2-3 days. Once the main road from Bangkok is completed, it will be much more attractive and appealing to be able to exit the Capital. Current road infrstructure is not great.
When visitng Hua Hin, I highly recommend a visit to The Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand Rescue Centre & Elephant Refuge. This centre, 45km northwest of Hua Hin, cares for over 700 animals, including bears, tigers, gibbons, macaques, loris and birds. There's also an affiliated elephant-rescue programme where the elephants live chain-free. Its an amzing sanctuary and great to be able to tour around it and support its funding.

I like this city and always happy to back there for shorter or longer time with my family. For those who are there 1st time it will be easy to operate around. Atmosphere is LOT MORE gentle than on Pattaya as well as much more "family friendly".
A good location within the heart of Hua Hin - easy walking distance to the main Night Markets, beach, cafe/restaurant strip (including waterfront restaurants) and train station. If you're interested in shopping, some upmarket shopping centres and the weekend Cicada Markets are a short tuk-tuk ride away. To be clear, this is a hotel, not a resort - if that suits you, the Maven Stylish is recommended.
Travelling with another family we were given adjacent Family rooms with a connecting door on the balcony wall so the kids could go back and forth without opening the main doors. Rooms are in the old wing with a view to the sea. Great.
The old hotel is spacious with lovely gardens and a serene atmosphere.
Also the best beach in Hua Hin with soft sand and also rock pools to hunt about in.
Excellent hotel in an ideal location with rooms overlooking the pier and the beach .Rooms are clean and comfortable with coffee facilities.
Nice quiet bar below serving both western and Thai food with seafood restaurants across the road on the beach .
One of the best hotels I've stayed in Hua hin with all amenities very close by .Woukd definatley recommend the pier view rooms 👌
A beautiful small hotel set in lush gardens with pool and direct access onto the beach. Location very good with Tuk Tuk type taxis across the road from the hotel should you want to explore Hua Hin. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast, plenty of choice to kick start your day in the restaurant overlooking the beach.
Great little hotel in the centre of hua hin, with good WiFi. 5 minutes walk from everything, beach, bar/restaurant/nightmarket etc....
Would stay again if visiting hua hin.
