Facilities are broadly in line with the cheap price - basic but functional.
There are 2 exceptions - the location on a very attractive beachfront is 5 star. But unfortunately it's zero stars for the beds. It feels just like a sheet has been thrown over a slab of concrete. Still, you can doze on a beautiful beach to make up for the lost sleep.
The island itself is very unspoilt and tranquil. And the islanders are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic location, great beach and simple but beautiful natural esthetics. I strongly recommend if there’s availability to go for the deluxe bungalow with sea view. It’s incredible value for money and right next to the water. A real treat. Good food and drinks as well. Perfect affordable base if you are looking for peaceful time swimming, reading, eating and repeat.

I stayed here 2 nights. My private room was inexpensive, had A/C and the room and bed were big and comfortable. The woman (Mama) who runs the place is very generous, thoughtful and kind. She only speaks Thai and I only speak English but we had no problems communicating. Her son also came by (he speaks both languages); They are a delightful family..quiet, friendly, respectful. This homestay location is out of the way, so you need to rent motorbike or taxi to get around (though I chose to walk).
