Nice place between Piran and Koper. Whole seaeside in Slovenia is nice with excellent beaches.
There were not too many people in the beginning of May.

it's a small city with good connection to other parts of...
it's a small city with good connection to other parts of Slovenian coast; the city center is very nice with plenty of cafes and restaurants, we enjoyed the cycle paths and cycle roads to Koper and Isola; we prefer to stay in Izola comparing to Portoroz and Koper and it's not so crowdy and everything is close also walking or using bicycle

Izola is a small jewelry box.
Izola is a small jewelry box. With narrow streets, the delicious aromas of Mediterranean cuisine can be felt during an evening walk. We can meet very nice people here among the hosts. We ate fantastic food at the restaurants along the coast. You can eat fresh seafood straight from the sea. We are returning guests here and it was certainly not the last time we visited the town.

Lovely cosy seaside town. We enjoyed our stay as there were not many tourists, it is not crowded not even near the sea (not like Portoroz). The beaches are with stones, but that is ok if you have water shoes. You can find all the amenities you need in Izola - shops, market, post office, restaurants, pharmacy, bakery....
It is possile to travel to nearby towns by bus or by boat - Portoroz, Piran, Koper. To Koper is also a nice was from Izola along the sea or it is also possible to rent a bike.

Small quiet town. Many good restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, bars. Excellently built cycling routes. The surrounding towns of Portorož, Piran, Piranske soline, Koper are accessible by bicycle. Friendly people. Nice beaches, clean sea. Many options for trips to the surrounding area (Trieste, Miramare Castle, Sistiana/Italy or Umag, Poreč, Rovinj, Pula/Croatia or Lipica, Postojna, Ljubljana, Tolmin, Bled/Slovenia)

Very good location in Izola/Jagodje, some 10 mins to walk to the seaside, some half an hour to walk to the downtown. Spacy appartment with a good bed, shower and kitchen. Parking in the yard just in front of the doors. Outer terrace in the garden. Extreamly clean. Nice host and his wife, ready to meet your wishes (you must speak Slovene or Italian, but no stress, you will understand everything).
A very nice stay in a little house between olive trees in the mountains above Izola. The house is fully equipped with everything you need and the hosts are very friendly and forthcoming. Also our dog was welcome and around the house you find a lot of other cats and dogs running around.
Great hotel! The room was spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable, excellent breakfast. Good location, a few minutes walk to the beach, close to a supermarket.The staff is extremly helpful and friendly.
Excellent apartment in the center of Izola. Brand new, cozy and aesthetic accommodation for a seaside getaway. Rooms are clean and spacious. I'm always pleased when I can get a good rest when traveling.
