I honestly didn't want to write any review to don't destroy general opinion. But looks like I have to. Well, we didn't had any carpet, but it was in description. I work in hotel business for many years and I see when things are wrong. Early check in was perfect, thanks to the guys from reception. This was the only plus. The room was ok , but bathrobes and towels is beyond the expectations. First of all we were 3 person and set of towels was for 2, I have to ask extra towels from reception. Towels and bathrobes looked very old, too used, like more than 10 years old, if we used it in our house. Spa area was interesting, but for example Turkish bath and sauna weren't working, so the guys visitors had to search for panels to start it. And I believe it's not their business. All the jets in the pool didn't work. Cleaners from this hotel from what we saw are indians/Asians.
It's not a problem , we worked before in multinational team but the hygiene was on top
It was April. Not hot. When we met cleaners in corridors it was awful sweat smell, obvious lack of hygiene . And I believe , cleaning was in the same level. I honestly expected more from 4 star hotel
Location of hotel is in very lovely area

It's a fine place to stay on your way to somewhere else or just as a quick and accessible get away. Not a pretty city, but there are things to do in and around the city. We would recommend eating at Simfonia and going to the Lotrisor Falls.

A large chunk of the town is just in the famous communist fashion - boring blocks of flats, lots of concrete. Instead there is a part with nice houses and lots of green. There's also a nice park and a huge wandering area in the nature. I recommend the town just for that.
Lots of nice places to visit are within one hour driving - both nature and man-made: mountains to climb, gorges, caves, monasteries and churches, folk art.

Ramnicu Valcea was not my aim of the trip but having a peaceful and silent stay at PH Panoramic hotel. And further peacefulness of the forest. But Râmnicu Vâlcea supports the environment and beauty in this regard.

it's a great Romanian city, filled with spirituality and amazing people. even if the city lost its glamour (back in the 80's it was one of the best locations in Europe for therapy and balnear treatments), you could still find nice places and unique ancient sites and monasteries to be impressed of.
Clean, cosy and stylish room for a very fair price (much better than we were expecting from a 3 stars hotel). Parking right by the hotel with enough parking spaces. We upgraded to the VIP room, which has a nice terrace and a veeery big bathroom, with both a shower and a bathtub. We even had slippers in the bathroom, which I guess is not very common for 3 stars hotels, yet it was a very nice surprise.
The hotel is only 7 - 10 minutes away from the city centre (by foot).
It has a lebanese restaurant, with interesting dishes.
The parking is at the property. You can use the elevator to get to the reception and to your room.
Lovely hotel in the center of Valcea with an amazing breakfast. The staff is lovely, the rooms are clean and equipped with everything you need. All in all, a great stay and would come back!
Location
There were minor oversights, and what I appreciated was that the hotel manager got involved in mediating, which is a very rare aspect. A pro-customer approach.
