Vila Marim Country Houses was an excellent place to stay at while in the Douro Valley The bedrooms were very comfortable and had great views over the vineyards. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly.

I loved everything about this place!!! Staying in the barrels overlooking the vineyards with that breathtaking view of the village was the absolute most memorable part of our two week trip in Portugal. Highly, highly recommend.

This hotel was amazing! Our room was beautiful and large. The hotel itself is a gem. It’s beautifully restored. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast had a big selection of fresh and delicious options.
The location in Duro is breathtaking. Casa de Calinhas is perfect for staying one night. They recommend restaurants and wineries to visit. Idillic day. Village is very small and up windy roads in the mountain, but restaurant have delicious homemade cuisine.
Outstanding location with breathtaking views over Douro river. The team was awesome and really helpful. The house and garden were so nice we found it hard to leave for daytime activities. Our breakfast was served to our terrace so we could enjoy great food and view. Mesao Frio is in walking distance and you‘ll find restaurants and cafes and a supermarket. Casa de Canilhas is a highlight you should not miss!
The staff are amazing and the property is like a 5 star hotel. From the moment you arrive, you instantly relax and you feel like it's a home away from home. Amazing views and as per previous comments, the dinner is exceptional. Highly recommend.
