Very clean. The hostess was very nice and helpful. And the view was spectacular. The town of Maia is out of the way but it is very quiet and relaxed. Driving in the town to get to the apartment is a bit nerve racking the first time. But it is worth it once you are there.

The most amazing benefit of staying here is having the gardens and hot springs to yourself when the park closes. It was magnificent. But that is definitely reflected in the cost to stay!

Great value for the money! Everything is clean and comfortable. The room size is great for a couple. A nice bonus is a washer and dryer with no additional fee. A shared kitchen with basic supplies, including a dedicated space in the refrigerator was also nice.
We loved dedicated towels for thermal pools. Free parking and snack bar nearby is a bonus.
We wanted to buy a house there we loved it so much.
We wanted to buy a house there we loved it so much. It has access to a nice little beach, which is rare, most of the island has cliffs. The village is small but beautiful, the people are friendly and we immediately felt at home. There are many things to go see and do, in every direction.

Maia is a small and quiet city - unless we missed something there is more of less nothing to see in the city except a small spot to swim and very local shops.
Definitely not the highlight of our travel in the Azores but a very nice and quiet place to stay.
