Solar de Lalém, hotel in Maia

Located in Maia and only 2.2 km from Praia da Viola, Solar de Lalém provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

All! We were here for ten days and we really enjoyed it! Rodolfo gave us a very warm welcome. He was always open to all questions. Maria is the good soul of the house. She prepared breakfast with a lot of love. Rodolfo specially bought vegan products, which is not a given here in the Azores. The hotel garden is beautiful. You can relax by the swimming pool. Everything was very clean. The hotel has enough parking spaces. The very nice beach bar, where you can also eat, and the highly recommended restaurant Fim do Seculo are within walking distance. The town of Maia is very pretty and conveniently located for all kinds of excursions.

Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, hotel in Maia

Located in a valley surrounded by trees, Terra Nostra Garden offers elegantly decorated rooms. Next to the Terra Nostra Botanical Park, it features indoor and outdoor pools.

Loved the thermal pool & the gardens. Wonderful to have both pools & gardens to just the hotel guests once they are closed to the public. The gardens are lit up at night & we had them to ourselves. The restaurant for both dinner & breakfast was sublime. Gluten free no issue what so ever.

Cozy House in Furnas with Mountain View, hotel in Maia

Offering barbecue facilities and city view, Cozy House in Furnas with Mountain View is situated in Furnas, 600 metres from Fumarolas and 7.1 km from Pico do Ferro.

Wonderful house in the fantastic Furnas! It's a very traditional house with a soul and very tranquile athmosphere. It is situated very close to Pocas da d.Beija hot springs - which is my favorite place in Furnas. We had very nice time there and already dreaming to come back one day!

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Furnas Cozy Inn is situated in Furnas. It is set less than 1 km from Fumarolas and offers private check-in and check-out.

The property is spacious, fully equipped and has outdoor bbq however these are all useless when the place is a severe health hazard riddled with damp and mould.

We wanted to buy a house there we loved it so much.

We wanted to buy a house there we loved it so much. It has access to a nice little beach, which is rare, most of the island has cliffs. The village is small but beautiful, the people are friendly and we immediately felt at home. There are many things to go see and do, in every direction.

Maia is a small and quiet city - unless we missed something there is more of less nothing to see in the city except a small spot to swim and very local shops. Definitely not the highlight of our travel in the Azores but a very nice and quiet place to stay.
