Lovely and quiet with the most comfortable bed we’ve experienced in our travels around the islands. The owner is an absolute gentleman, went out of his way to make a special birthday even more special! Thank you again Jorge.
Very useful to have the on site dining option too, with a charming smiley waitress to brighten your day😍

Stunning place, perfect for a break away from the city.
Stunning place, perfect for a break away from the city. The hiking trails are nice, and you can witness both sunset and sunrise. No cars are allowed, so it's very quiet and peaceful. For those that like surfing, it offers good surfing, You can also kayak, SUP and so on! There are a couple of waterfalls nearby.
It is quite isolated, with no cash machines and limited offers for food and drinks, but it is fine!
Getting there can be a bit expensive. Get a taxi to the top of the mountain and hike down for a better experience. Or take a taxi to the Fajã dos Cubres, about a 5km hike away, which is also gorgeous.

Definitely stay more than one day, and do trail down stay for a few days (if you love peace and quite) and exit by completing the trail until Fajã dos Cubres.
