Pousada Palacio de Estoi – Small Luxury Hotels of the World, hotel in Estói

Pousada Palacio de Estoi is located in the town of Estoi, just 10 km from Faro, on the grounds of a beautiful 19th-century palace.

The room and bathroom were spacious. Great terrace and location is great, close to Faro. Nice view of Faro and surrounding area. Breakfast buffet was great, a lot of sweet and savory options (though no meat options outside pork). Lovely and helpful staff.

Casa Da Ponte, hotel in Estói

Situated in Estói, 28 km from Vilamoura Marina and 34 km from Island of Tavira, Casa Da Ponte offers air conditioning.

We absolutely adored the house. Exceptionally clean, functional with all necessary machines , kitchen and bathroom elements, very tastefully decorated and cosy. The terrace on the top floor is a real added bonus with a view of the surroundings ( stairs are quite steep from the kitchen to the terrace should one have a knee or leg problem). The location of the house is also ideal. Situated in a small village, Estoi, just north of Faro (only 20 mn by car from the airport and easy to access east and west of the Algarve) , we loved the location of Casa Da Ponte just next to the small central square with a small cafe. Ideal place to enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine with the locals in the evening. Lucia and Jose were fantastic hosts and although not present on the site, always available if needed. Highly recommend this house!

This is a fascinating little village.

This is a fascinating little village. There is a shop of some kind around every corner (but it does mean you have to explore a lot to find everything!). It has a bizarre one-way system (do NOT DRIVE THE WRONG WAY TO THE HOTEL!). The sustainable produce shop just around the corner from the hotel was fascinating - and even sell products in hand-luggage sizes!

The Palace and the Roman ruins are worth a trip to this small and otherwise typical town; and Casa de Estoi is the loveliest place I stayed in over a two week trip throughout Portugal, with one exception. The host Jose is delightful!

Estoi is a lovely little town.

Estoi is a lovely little town. Please DO NOT GO TO OLHAO though - the police are corrupt and target tourists vehicles. They only clamp hire cars and leave the locals alone, they are a disgrace to the country! The town hall worker (in Olhao) stands about all day and hands ready made maps to tourist to show them where to pay the fines. I will never return to Portugal until these corrupt officials are removed!

The town of Estói is lovely with beautiful walks down the narrow lanes off the Church square. There are cafes, bars and shops. It is possible to walk into the local hills from the town where there are lovely views. There is easy road access to Faro, Olhão, Tavira and other coastal towns all with a great choice and range of restaurants, bars and beautiful buildings. The train along the coast is a great trip. There are ferries from Faro and Olhão to some lovely islands 20 to 30 minutes away. The apartment we stayed in - Estoi Terraces was excellent, spacious and comfy with a lovely outdoor area. Easy parking outside the block. The owner was really friendly and helpful and easy to contact.

Very quiet attractive village. The main attractions are the poussada palace and the Roman remains. Both very impressive ànd worth a visit. The peaceful village is a welcome change from the coast. Casa de Estoi is a top class place to stay.

There are few shops and only one restaurant.

There are few shops and only one restaurant. There are just two things to see- the palace which is now a hotel and it is not open to non-guests and the Roman site which is interesting. A day visit is sufficient to see both if they are open. Walking in the area was not comfortable.

marvelous property that has been beautifully redone. it combines modern and historical elements. The rooms are spacious. The staff is very friendly and pay great attention to customers. Very nice breakfast! There’s a bar at the pool, offering hot and cold beverages, ice cream and even burgers and soups. we used the hotel as a base for visiting Algarve but you can easily spend a few days here.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel has a very serene atmosphere, everyone who stayed there and the staff were super polite and accommodating. Tho the pool is not big I still loved the outdoors area with real grass and trees around. There's also a gaming area with chess, monopoly and pool table to use for free.

we liked it that much we came back, it’s a perfect stay over for the airport. This hotel is great, inside it is like a little palace, very grand. The breakfast this time was even better than last time, fresh orange juice, cereal, rolls, meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and pastries, oh and the coffee is good.

There is nothing not to like about this beautiful hotel. The service, the views, the breakfast, the location and a wonderful infinity pool. The place is also spotlessly clean. Highly recommended for a visit to Faro.
