Peaceful oasis in a beautifully, renovated spacious hotel spa that used to be one of the Portuguese Royal family’s vacation home.
The food was amazing. Accommodations were restful spacious. The staff was extraordinary. There was hiking a pool, hot tub lots of beautiful vistas to explore, and Parking included.
I couldn’t have asked for a better stopping point in my trip through Portugal. When I return, I will stay more than one night.

This is a hotel with a gorgeous view and with staff that are first class. I stayed here before, when it was a proper Pousada but losing that status has not lowered its standards. The restaurant staff were excellent, the food was OK

It's a great base from which to see the surrounding area - Beira Baixa and Serra da Estrela. The village itself has some interesting sights, but we thought there are more beautiful places to visit (like Sortelha). There was hardly any tourism.

The staff was wonderful.
The staff was wonderful. The restaurant was lovely, with very interesting menu choices, like partridge, and mushroom ice cream ( which was fabulous au natural, but didn’t like it when dressed with the sauces). Overall, the food was excellent, but also, a bit salty for me.
The breakfast could have been better, some dark rolls, and eggs would be nice. The coffee machine coffee burned my stomach, but I didn’t realize it until the 4th day! I thought there was something wrong with me until I left and my stomach got better. Then I realized it was the coffee!
Also, it was easy to drive to other great villages, like Monsanto and Sortelha.
Excellent location, good communication, small and enjoyable house close to synagogue and castle of Belmonte. Much recommended. Owned and operated by local inhabitant of Belmonte.
A nice hotel with the facilities well managed. Location is good in Belmonte, which is a nice village. Staff is nice and very helpful. Breakfast is good.
The apartment looks like on the website and is situated in the center of Belmonte. If you come by car, look for a parking place a bit further the house.
