We loved the look and feel of the Convento, the stone walls and windows are lovely but the location does not lend itself to the building, the bathroom is quite dated and to get into the shower ( which is a shower above a bath ) is quite tricky. Meals were great and service was very good.

Lovely, helpful and welcoming staff. Accommodation was good - great location, parking. Their tapas cafe was fabulous - great food, service, wine and IPA! Highly recommend.

This is a great location on the edge of town..
With a well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room to make you feel at ease..
The town is easy to walk around with places of interest like the Castle, the Jewish quarter and many little parks throughout..
It is very central also if you are interested in the 12 castle town circuit..

This is a hotel with a gorgeous view and with staff that are first class. I stayed here before, when it was a proper Pousada but losing that status has not lowered its standards. The restaurant staff were excellent, the food was OK

It's a great base from which to see the surrounding area - Beira Baixa and Serra da Estrela. The village itself has some interesting sights, but we thought there are more beautiful places to visit (like Sortelha). There was hardly any tourism.

The staff was wonderful.
The staff was wonderful. The restaurant was lovely, with very interesting menu choices, like partridge, and mushroom ice cream ( which was fabulous au natural, but didn’t like it when dressed with the sauces). Overall, the food was excellent, but also, a bit salty for me.
The breakfast could have been better, some dark rolls, and eggs would be nice. The coffee machine coffee burned my stomach, but I didn’t realize it until the 4th day! I thought there was something wrong with me until I left and my stomach got better. Then I realized it was the coffee!
Also, it was easy to drive to other great villages, like Monsanto and Sortelha.

Beautiful decor, lovely neutral tones, a lot of thought gone into the details, very comfortable, and relaxing, great location with fantastic views, love the jeep safari to dinner at the Convento De Belmonte. Friendly hosts, lovely breakfast and afternoon tea. Had the best sleep in a longtime! simply perfect and wish we could have stayed longer.
Nice hotel - ideally located at the edge of town with good scenic views all round. Rooms are a good size and plenty of parking available on site. the panoramic restaurant lives up to its name.
Lovely location. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The pool was very inviting.

The apartment looks like on the website and is situated in the center of Belmonte. If you come by car, look for a parking place a bit further the house.
