Good location but interior of the hotel is really old, must be renovated. Breakfast was in the basement, with little choice of food, rooms very small with super dirty windows, broken shower tubs and broken sink ceramics. Disappointed that I had chosen this hotel

Olsztyn is somewhat out of the way for many visitors to Poland. However, I was very interested to visit the Wolf's Lair, and Olsztyn was close by. The charm of the city is the delightful people who are so welcoming. This is a visit I shall not forget.

The old town is nice to roam around.
The old town is nice to roam around. There are multiple lakes in walking distance, if you have a pet or want to cool down yourself. The town organizes a lot of events especially during the summer that can be attended by both locals and tourists (check out https://mok.olsztyn.pl). There are coffee shops open at 8 for the early birds and other venues that close at midnight for those who prefer to stay out late. My favorite restaurant was the Karczma Nad Łyną, that serves really good food and has a nice terrace as well.

You can both go sightseeing, then go swimming, then rent a boat.
Did I mention forests? They are great too.
Add ok public transport to the mix, and You have great place for slow, relaxing vacations.

We stayed in Olztyn for one night only as a stop-over during a long car trip. We enjoyed the town as it was very cozy, the locals were friendly and the restaurant we ate at was very nice. I would visit Olztyn for 2-3 days again.

Nice, small Polish city.
Nice, small Polish city. Some interesting buildings - easy to walk around and get where I needed to go. People I spoke to were ok though you need to try some Polish (same throughout the country which is fine). Poland is what you expect.

Olsztyn is an historic town whose history, like so much of Eastern Europe, is complicated. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring and learning - and relaxing of course ( in summer there is a town beach to use). Public transport is cheap and easy (make sure you have the jakdojade app on your phone - big help). We ate in different restaurants from Polish (with a fish specialty because of the region) to Greek and Indian - they were all excellent.
Now we have "done" the town we would look to explore the surrounding area.

Amazing location, less than 10 minutes from train station and the city market square. We got the room with a private bathroom, so did not have to worry about sharing it with anyone else, could take our time and not run around the shared corridor wrapped in a towel. All the instructions were clear, easy to find and enter. Everything within our room looks freshly renovated and clean, the beds were quite comfy and provided linens and towels of good quality, not the cheapest stuff you sometimes find in hotel rooms.
I chose this hotel based on previously very good experience but on this occasion I was a little disappointed; Bed- Not the most comfortable, for the priced everything was quite basic
The property is very well situated in the heart of Olsztyn near the old town square. I liked the location, it's spacefullness, decor, being well equipped, I would recon to everyone
