The room was very clean, organized, good space. The location was perfect! It’s just 2 minutes walking from the Main Street. Erwen, the guy in charge, was a super host! He arranged tours for us, and gave us recommendations, and he was always very nice and helpful.

The rooms were spacious and definitely worth the price. Everything was new. We also enjoyed the pool very much. Appreciate the free water, coffee and toiletries. Wifi was also very good. I arrived in Siargao by flight from Manila, from the airport to the accommodation I took a van for 40 minutes to the accommodation together with other tourists.
We rented a scooter and went all over the island and the landscapes are beautiful.
Places we liked:

It was Dope!!!!💯❗️❤️❤️❤️. The Ocean view.. the peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful view was on point. The open Kitchen excellent. The caretakers were very friendly and polite and very helpful. Stay jumpstarted our month long tour. It set a beautiful precedent that was set and upped our expectations for El Nido. The stay was so good that we are now going to see about purchasing property there. The owner was very gracious about letting us use the Villa which is what I wanted. I have nothing but respect and positive feedback for our Stay. We will be looking forward to going there again.

I have been knowing General Luna for more than 12 years and this place unfortunately is getting less and less attractive to me. It has become like a party place and probably it is attractive to those party people.

General Luna or Reef Beach Hotel is a Fleabag, literally.
We were bitten by fleas in the bed and unfortunately we only realized the source on the 3rd day.
This wasn’t even the room they were supposed to reserve for us after we paid half, 6 months in advance, they informed us Sorry, we didn’t keep your room“.
They took responsibility for the fleas and moved us to another room.
They did NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO REFUND US OUR MONEY, not even for the 3 nights, even though we were itching and scratching for another week.
They offered to pay our medical expenses.
Believe me, I would rather pay full price and no fleas.
DON’T GO THERE, ITS NOT WORTH IT.

The General Luna is a City place of resorts & hotel along the ocean. There are lots of eateries or restaurants, souvenirs store along the resorts/hotel you can choose. I think it is a safe place to go vacation & travel to this Siargao Islands & stay in Gen. Luna.

This is probably what Boracay was 25 years ago. It's got a great laid-back feel to it with hardly any touts and the restaurants are quite rustic but fit in really well and you have a lot to choose from.
The main activity here is surfing but there is a diving option, but the sites aren't up to much.
Ilakai Hostel was a nice place to stay. They arranged a motorbike for us, allowing us to explore the rest of the island beyond General Luna (which is awesome!). The hostel has a typical vibe where you can meet people from all around the world, and there is a nice patio for socializing. Our room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.
Very clean and quiet stay. It's close enough to be in General Luna or Secret Beach with a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride, but far enough to enjoy some quiet, natural, almost rural surroundings. Abundant breakfast, accommodating staff - chatty and discreet as needed - very fast in fulfilling our very last-minute requests for an Island Hop Tour and a ride to the airport.
Lovely family run home stay. Beautifully cared for grounds. Excellent location close to General Luna Main Street but away from main road/noise. Decent size bathrooms and huts. We didn’t use it but great to have a nice communal kitchen available too
Great property in a quiet area, close enough to both the surf spots and General Luna bars and restaurants. Beautiful spacious villa with a nice pool in the middle, great decor in the villa and kitchen facilities great too
