The lodge is close to where boats take off for surfing. Also you get discount in the surf shop where you can rent boards or scooter.
The owner Tim and the staff are super nice and helpful. We highly recommend.
We also appreciated that this is not a party hostel, as we like to sleep early. If you feel like going out, there is plenty of options in walking distance, like sunset bridge or Mad Monkeys.

The owners, staff and dogs were extremely friendly and helpful. It is a small but warm and welcoming hotel, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate to our needs. The hotel is located in a quiet area away from the party noise in town but can be easily reached with Tuk tuks - getting around is not a problem at all. Very good choice of homemade all day breakfast was offered. We enjoyed chill time sitting outside our rooms to eat or read. Water pressure was good in the shower and the room was very clean and spacious. Power supply can be intermittent in Siargao and the hotel has its own backup and solar system to ensure uninterrupted electricity. Overall very happy with the hotel which was the highlight of our visit! Thank you Ralf, Linda and Mich!

Easy to get around on Tuk Tuk or tricycles check prices or get tourist prices especially foreigners.

I arrived in Siargao by flight from Manila, from the airport to the accommodation I took a van for 40 minutes to the accommodation together with other tourists.
We rented a scooter and went all over the island and the landscapes are beautiful.
Places we liked:
- Island Coconut Trees View Deck, Magpopongko Rock Pools and Flats, Maasin Bridge River Swing and Cloud 9 area
- Siargao Island Hopping (Naked Island, Daku Island, and Guyam Island)

It was Dope!!!!💯❗️❤️❤️❤️. The Ocean view.. the peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful view was on point. The open Kitchen excellent. The caretakers were very friendly and polite and very helpful. Stay jumpstarted our month long tour. It set a beautiful precedent that was set and upped our expectations for El Nido. The stay was so good that we are now going to see about purchasing property there. The owner was very gracious about letting us use the Villa which is what I wanted. I have nothing but respect and positive feedback for our Stay. We will be looking forward to going there again.

I have been knowing General Luna for more than 12 years and this place unfortunately is getting less and less attractive to me. It has become like a party place and probably it is attractive to those party people.

General Luna or Reef Beach Hotel is a Fleabag, literally.
We were bitten by fleas in the bed and unfortunately we only realized the source on the 3rd day.
This wasn’t even the room they were supposed to reserve for us after we paid half, 6 months in advance, they informed us Sorry, we didn’t keep your room“.
They took responsibility for the fleas and moved us to another room.
They did NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO REFUND US OUR MONEY, not even for the 3 nights, even though we were itching and scratching for another week.
They offered to pay our medical expenses.
Believe me, I would rather pay full price and no fleas.
DON’T GO THERE, ITS NOT WORTH IT.

The General Luna is a City place of resorts & hotel along the ocean. There are lots of eateries or restaurants, souvenirs store along the resorts/hotel you can choose. I think it is a safe place to go vacation & travel to this Siargao Islands & stay in Gen. Luna.
The location was very good next to a lovely beach with a great setting with palm trees and white sands. There were good cooking facilities in a shared outside kitchen.
Repairs had been done following the Typhoon.
I rented a motorbike through the hotel and also Island hopping boat trip both very good value for money.
General Luna not far away about 5km for cafes bars restaurants and shopping
A stunning villa, tastefully designed, includes a tiny kitchenette for preparing small meals, away from the mess in General Luna, located in Santa Fe on a white and quiet beach.
The driveway is dirt and not paved, so you have to take into account that it will be difficult for tuktuks to enter and they will drop you off on the road, a 3 minute walk is not bad at all.
This is a fantastic hostel for meeting good people; the staff are awesome too! Family nights are a highlight, and many of the people we met here became friends throughout our two-month stay and beyond. However, the accommodation itself is lacking a bit. But it is a budget option, when accommodation in General Luna is often expensive.
Very cute hotel, with nice villas around palm trees and tropical plants, that gives a very natural and nice atmosphere to the hotel.
The rooms are big and clean.
The staff is very nice and helpful.
It's 3 minutes away from the main street of General Luna (10 minutes walking)
