When we arrived, we had a twin room but I expressed my concern at having requested a double in advance as it was our last night in Philippines after an incredible holiday. They addressed it immediately and got us a room and we were super happy and grateful.
We also had issues with our airline departure which totally would have screwed our journey back to London. Due to not being able to make calls the staff let me use their office phone and they also had a direct phone number to Cebu Pacific desk in Busuanga airport!! Because of this, we were able to catch an earlier flight and made it on time to Singapore for our long haul flight back home. Truly above and beyond.

Our stay at The Riverhouse Coron was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by Judith, the wonderful owner, and her team. The location itself is breathtaking—nestled in nature, offering stunning river and jungle views, far from the tourist crowds.
One of the highlights of our stay was our authentic village experience. We had the incredible opportunity to join a local in their daily activities, from fishing in the traditional way to helping build a “bahay kubo” roof with palm leaves. It was a deeply enriching and humbling experience that allowed us to connect with the local culture in a way that few travelers get to.
Another unforgettable moment was the private island hopping tour with Judith and June. Unlike the crowded tours in Coron town, this experience was intimate and personalized. We explored pristine islands, swam in crystal-clear waters, and enjoyed a delicious beachside lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients. Judith and June made the experience even more special with their stories, laughter, and deep knowledge of the area.
To top it all off, we had a magical fireflies night tour with June. Drifting on a traditional banka along the river in the stillness of the night, surrounded by the glowing fireflies dancing among the mangroves, was truly a breathtaking experience. It felt like a scene from a fairytale—one that we will cherish forever.

I love Coron.
I love Coron. It is my second favorite stop in the Philippines, El Nido was my first. You have to do the Ultimate Island Hopping Tour-it is a must. I really enjoyed our stay at the Two Seasons Bayside. We climbed the steps to Mt. Tapyas to see the sunrise and went to the Maquinit Hotsprings and enjoyed riding the tuktuk. I would highly recommend going to Palawan!

Coron was nice, as there are quite some boat tours to do. The island is still untouched, offering nice scooter tours. Also, coron city is vibrant, there are quite some restaurants, and nice bars to have drinks. The thermal sources are really nice, but also quite warm!
All in all, nice to visit.

Coron is one of the premier destinations within the Philippines. Great day tours can be taken from here to the neighboring islands (snorkeling and diving sites) and great beaches. Coron town is also home of Coron Brewery! The Brewhouse on Real Street is a must visit! Experience Coron https://www.coronislandtours.com/ can organize daily tours.
They are reliable and willing to please you with a good deal (if you negotiate). It is worth to take at least half a day tour to Maquinit Hot Sprins (about PHP 750 for the return fate on a tricycle).
For those that want to continue the journey to El Nido, there are very good options to take from Coron.

The hotel is located a short 4-5 minute tricycle drive from Coron Town centre, yet far enough to feel pleasantly secluded and away from Coron Town's busy centre. Staff and facilities were great, and the room spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was also good and varied, items changing everyday. You can also enjoy a really nice sunset from the pool deck area.
Great location, right in the middle of town. The staff were amazing, always a warm welcome and helped with anything I needed. I booked an island hopping tour through the hotel and it was cheap but the tour was the best I’ve done in the Philippines so far; well organised and good guides. Good aircon and hot water in the room.
Easy access to everything in town as only walking distance to bars and restaurants. Clean and spacious rooms (we booked 2 rooms on 4th floor). Helpful staff. Breakfast was better than our previous hotel in Coron despite the limited option.
Stayed here on numerous occasions over the years, love the gardens, themed rooms & kids love the pool.
Would recommend, easy to get into Coron town. nicer than those modern hotels
